  1. Ya, that is really cool.... thanks for sharing
  2. I bought a 2011 Tracker Pro V 175 Combo. Fish ski combo. No problems at all. I mostly fish out of it. Lake O fishing, and bass fishing Scugog. Its an aluminum with a 115 Opti on it. Lots of room for both fish and recreational activities. I tow it everywhere, love the boat. Good luck in your hunt!
  3. Did you ever "sync" your phone with a computer??? if you did you may still have some of your info....most phones that are stolen are used for the hardware, but personal info is still a concern. If theres a chance any of your banking, or personal info is in the phone make sure you notify your bank and watch your bank accounts and credit cards for any unusal activity. It sucks but be diligent for awhile to make sure your protected. Hope things turn out ok
  4. I have steel at the cottage, awesome roof. The only thing I would have done differently was insulate the roof before install. Not to keep it warmer but in a rain storm what a racket it makes lol....I don't know whats worse, the constant slow dripping after a rain as it drips from the trees, or the roar of a waterfall during a good storm... But in the end steel all the way, almost %100 worry free
  5. Bag all the way.....I generally use the bigger plano boxes.....organize according to specie then just throw the boxes I need for the outing in a bag and away I go... Also have a smaller bag just for tools, pliers, knife, stuff like that..
  6. Hey There, not sure where your located but on the Lake Simcoe Fishing board theres a guy selling a used minokota 24v 60inch 80lb. upgraded to gps model. http://www.lakesimcoemessageboard.com/index.php?topic=10223.0 cheers
  7. always loved this song, nothing liked it cranked up, sitting on the deck looking at the lake at the cottage
  8. I was up at lake scugog today and its open. Has anyone been on for Crappie's? not looking for spots just curious if anyone has had any luck..
  9. Some gas stations and corner stores have a little fridge in them that have been supplied from Port Perry. They have worms. I know the Pioneer on Dundas just west of Thickson has one of those fridges.
  10. Totally agree, you purchased a boat in good faith from a dealer. That boat was most certainly coast guard certified. You purchased insurance for your boat and supplied any and all documentation that they requested, AND they agreed to insure your boat. If there was a problem with the boat that caused it to sink it was a pre-existing issue that you were not aware of. you cannot be held responsible for a pre-existing issue that you were not aware of. How many car recalls are there that have been brought on by accidents? Insurance covers the accidents, but if the auto company is at fault then the insurance goes after them for the money. Stick to your guns, like mentioned earlier, hire a lawyer and demand that your insurance company keep their end of the contract you signed with them Good luck!!
  11. I have a 17.5ft Tracker with a 115 HP Opti and ran it the last 2 years on the main motor. I found running it at idle speed was just a little over 2mph. If running with the wind I was a little fast i would just drop the bow trolling motor for some drag but that was on rare occaisions.
  12. I cant remember which board I was on but I read a post and the guy was saying that maybe a rotation closing of ice fishing for numerous Kawartha Lakes may be the answer. Gives each lake a year off but still keeps the fishing open. I just thought it sounded like an interesting idea...
  13. The EcoDiesel is a 4500$ option on the SLT and above trim lines. It seems like a bunch of money but they also had, not sure if its still on, a 8500$ rebate and 1500$ credit because I was switching brands of truck to theirs. So right off the bat there was 10grand off sticker. They range anywhere from 34grand and north....
  14. I currently have a 13 eccoboost. Just ordered the new new Dodge Eco Diesel, crew cab 4x4 with 5.5' box. Hope to have it within the next few weeks. Only reason I traded was specifically for the gas savings. I mostly do hwy driving and my Ford averages 12l/100k hwy. The new eco diesel advertises 7.1l/100k but Ontario gov mileage website lists it at 8l/100k. Still gona be a savings. Doing the math I look to save about 1000$ a year on gas. Time will tell but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
  15. I wonder how hard it would be to fish from a hovercraft???
  16. i wonder if the fine was low and they are still allowed to fish because they got the eggs and fish from someone. They didn't actually do the poaching. Plus they may have given some info to help nail the guy who they got it from...
  17. Never ordered anything yet, but their prices look ok http://www.overstockbait.com/default.asp
  18. Good on him! absolutely no excuse for that kind of blatant disregard of the conservation laws!
  19. I've have a Tracker 17'5 ft fish/ski combo for 3 years now. 115 Opti. Not one issue at all. Gets up on the water in a flash, and handles the big waves of Lake O without a problem. I know they have a bad rep. and i took that into account when i was looking. I know the nickname "cracker" because of the welded seams cracking, but they have solved that issue. 24k out the door and I'm glad I made that choice.
  20. Guys, I thank you enough for posting these pics.....Now my wife can't say I have too much gear!
  21. Hey All, Can anyone direct me to a shop that repairs canvas boat covers? Mine ripped along a stitching at the end of last year. I was hoping to get one more season before I replace it. I'm in the Whitby area Thanks in advance
