  1. My wife gets eaten alive every year...she has a process she goes through....she starts a few days before we are going to the cottage by taking B12 vitamins.....then as we are leaving B12 patches, at least 2, then she carries the Thermocell and once up there, OFF Skintastic and she also has a thermocell lattern with her.... She stills gets the odd bite, but nothing like the first year where she just used bug spray, she really suffered for about a week after that...
  2. I'm assuming your thinking about Lake Ontario? If so theres a launch right across from the GO Station. Go south on Gordon St from Victoria. Its public, always in good shape. $10 to park with trailer. I havent been out yet and have been looking at the other fishing boards and not alot of talk about Whitby. If you do go out let us know how it goes. Cheers and tight lines!
  3. And i will say it again....I dont doubt it for one second that they were fishing bass....i just wish there was a sure fire way to prove it...a way that left no doubt at all..
  4. Hey, like I said....I dont doubt for a second what they were really up to...proving it is the problem...
  5. Not that I disagree with you Bushart, but a well know fishing celebrity on his TV show did a whole segment on flipping for Walleye. And it worked! I dont doubt for a second what your saying, but the problem like what has been mentioned is proving intent.
  6. Hey All, Can anyone recommend a landscaper in the Whitby area? I'm looking at doing a stamped concrete patio in my backyard but what some quotes. No idea how much it will cost. Thanks in advance Cheers
  7. Thats weird, my neighbour has had it for a couple of years and no issues at all...guess you just have to do your research and make the best decision you can...
  8. Heres a link to a product my neighbour used a couple of years ago. worked great. I'm thinking about do this on my concrete porch this year. http://www.homehardware.ca/en/rec/index.htm/Paint-Décor/Paint/Floor-Deck-Porch/Coverings/Coatings/3-78L-Maple-Granite-Coating/_/N-2pqfZ67l/Ne-67n/No-120/Ntk-All_EN/R-I1817859?Ntt=Concrete+Finish&Num=0 Its not a paint, more like a paste, about the same consistancy as a thin oatmeal. Let me know if you go for it and how it works for you, I'll so the same. Cheers
  9. Right on....but seriously who could have said no.....lol

  14. My buddy called me last week to ask what my renewal was becasue his went up bigtime. They had his truck list at over 3000kg and that was the reason he was told it went up.
  15. maybe if it plunged into a huge deep fryer....that would be worth a sign!
  16. I can't speak about the Caravan, but I have had 2 vehicles with tow packages installed from the factory. the diff between that and aftermarket were as follows - trans cooler - the transmission was set up via the computer that when you press the "tow/haul" button on the shifter it makes the trans shift a little more aggressively. meaning you will not get the smooth shift from gear to gear, it is more agressive so there is no delay getting into the next gear. I did notice the difference in the shifting pattern. I believe, but not %100 sure it eliminates the lock up torque convertor during over-drive. - trailer brake control in the cab - it also warns NOT to use cruise control while towing Having said that, I tow a 17' 1/2ft aluminum boat. I just bought a truck and didn't get the tow package. The aluminum is so light the truck doesn't even know its there, and I don't have trailer brakes so that is just a waste. Not sure about the weight of your boat, or the dimensions which come into play especially during windy days. Check the weight against what the owners manual says the truck can haul. Good luck, hope it all works out for ya!
  17. I think this was the straw that broke the camels back.....I think he's done as mayor....only problem is....who is the lesser of the evils??
  18. during the open water season my boat is in my driveway....during hard water I shrink wrap and store at a local marina. I'm in whitby
  19. I had two issues regarding storage when I was looking to buy a boat. First was overall package length, I have the sidewalk on my side of the street so my driveway is short. I made sure the package came with a swing-away trailer tongue. I just make it then. The other issue was width. I have standard garage doors. I had to sacrifice on this point. its 3" too wide to fit in the garage. In order for it to fit I would have had to drop down to a smaller boat and at 17 1/2ft i didn't want to go much smaller and lose the capability to take more people. I also didn't want too small a boat as I didn't feel comfortable fishing Lake O on a consistent basis with a smaller boat. Good Luck
  20. Best episode ever was when Henry was on the show and bent down to lip a largemouth. took a header into the drink....took Italo a cpl of sec to realize cause he was talking to the camera...then it was "Henry?" lmao
  21. Don't be haters.....Ya Tracker has had a bad reputation in the past but that was the past. I haven't had one issue with my boat. I use it for everything from Lake O salmon to Scugog bass and also ski and tube. Theres horror stories out there about every boat maker....just do your homework like your doing and try and go see every boat you like. Nothing like walking around and checking out the boat first hand good luck
  22. Just a shot in the dark, lol, but I see your in Whitby. Have you talked to the guys at Gagnons? I'm sure they could point you in the right direction. good luck
