  1. Any used motor is hard to get, I am looking at re-powering my boat from a 115-150 and its crazy how much they are!!!
  2. you guys also have a 1000yrd range out there. I shot 50 cals out to 1000 a few weeks ago
  3. Or having a longer bait on 1 of the arms. All kinds of possibilities with this rig
  4. I found what looks like a great deal on a HDS7 from epal down south. Has anyone ordered elecs from the states. Will I have to pay duty on it before it gets to me? Any way around it? Guy told me he would send as a gift I heard that helps sometimes. I don't get duty charges, sometimes I pay huge sometimes I pay nothing. I read its all about where the item is made not where it's bought.
  5. Awesome video. The idea of it is great I think. The bait ball crank bait has been great for me and it plays upon the same principles. Bait always clump together for safety and with that many targets the fish has a good chance of getting fed. Also, salt water guys use teasers all the time so placing a simple spinner blade on 1 or more of the arms makes perfect sense. I always use oversize/overkill gear so that will be easy. The only problem I see is getting over the fact that by the time it's rigged you are tossing $30-$40 lure lol
  6. I see these a lot down south but not much up here. other than only having a max of 4 wires with 4 hooked baits , is any other reg keeping us from using them?
  7. Sounds like you are on the right tracck here. I use 15-20lbs seagar flouro
  8. Thanks next up is the deck lighting, got a deck blaster kit to add to the package in blue
  9. I also like these for that kinda depth
  10. I am not a smallie expert but I aswell got that bug. I would opt for a jerk bait most likely, and try to get them to come up for it. I just got a few from 12 fow burning a spinner bait (not the best option I dont think tho) You could also try a drop shot, seen a lot of guys throwing them on simcoe this weekend
  11. Finally got around to intstall the rest of the compartment lights in the boat over the weekend. Also fixed some rookie wiring mistakes I am very happy of how it turned out. I even got out to smallmouth country and got my first few smallies of the year. Nothing big but a strong healthy simcoe smallie
  12. What is this Bass Techs? I have never heard of it? What channel is it on? I like Scott Martin Challenge and any bass show really. Even Facts of Fishing is good, Dave Mercer is a love or hate sometimes.
  13. I'm not looking forward to doing that again lmao!!! If it breaks then I will start looking for something else, it was a lesson in frustration trying to fit that. The livewell does not have a straight, flat or level side to it!!!
  14. I think its plex, I got it for cheap so I didnt argue lol I do think I need more or bigger holes. I thought these conectors were the easiest way to go, I jammed dielectric greese in them? This is the very starting point for power to these lights so I will take your advice and change them to prevent future probs Thanks for the advice
  15. It is kinda duanting to start for sure, I am going to take my time and plan, plan and plan some more
  16. So I saw these super cool LED boat lights from Bluewater at Bass Pro and they were on sale. Well I have wanted to light up my compartments for a while so I grabbed them. So on the box it says it has 4 20 inch compartments, when I got it home and opened it it only had 4 10 inch lights. When I called Bluewater they simply said it was a typo on the box, after a very long pause (me waiting for her to tell me how we are going to fix) She said have a nice day and hung up the phone. The customer service was horrible and non-existant. I called back to simply find out weather I could order the 4 20 inch strips I need and she said that the shipping to canada would be very expensive and to just buy another kit. Well then I have lots of light i dont want and still no 20 inch compartment lights. I will make this work so I started to install some of them last night. The livewell lights are going to be awesome. All the compartments will be white light and the decl will be blue. I also made this Devider yesterday as when I got the boat it didn't have 1. The fish were so hard to get out as they had a lot of room to swim. I had a lot of trouble drilling holes in it. Anyone know an easy way? Also should I make more holes up higher just incase the water sloshes around while on the water. First compartment is lit, more to follow I used these tap conectors to tie into power from the stern light. This comes on when my anchor light switch is turned on. The deck lights will be on a seperate switch. I have a lot of wiring to do over the next few days! Stay tuned for more pics
  17. If you want to run your trolling motor off both then you should have 2 Deeps as big as you can fit. My buddies set up sounds similar and hes cheap, so he always has mismatched batteries but only runs 1 at a time on his switch. Half the time we need a another boat to jump us when we are on the water. Buy the best battery you can afford, nothing worse than being stuck with no power. I run 4 in the boat, cant have too many!
  18. Good deal! Set up right that reel can throw about anything, the digital break should let you throw right down to 1/8 all the way up to 2-3 ounce bama rigs. I pull 1 out when it gets windy and I start getting a little tired later in the day. I have it on a 7'1 MH and sees a lot of spinner baits and chatter baits. Good find!!!
  19. I bought these from basspro, seems to work good imo http://www.basspro.com/Safety-Chain-Keepers/product/52373/ and they were cheap!
  20. My brakes are fubar'ed onmy trailer and it clunks when stopping or starting, not looking forward to replacing almost everything to get rid of it. Been like it all last season since I bought the boat. I was just thinking about trying to tackle this problem yesterday but the beer won out!
  21. I have heard of people flying drugs and weapons into a jails using RC helicopters and quads, I wanna know why nobody shot at the it while it was landing or taking off?
  22. I did a thru hull on my HDS skimmer ducer. seems to work ok at speeds. If I did it again I would use silicone instead of marine epoxy. I think if I did do it again I would wet mount it actually. If you have a structure scan it will NEED to be wet mounted
  23. I have the 2 bank 4/4 works awesome. Wish I waited and got this 1 for the same price lol
