  1. I picked up a shimano suit at can tire and it's actually pretty good. I may upgrade to a basspro 100mph set this winter tho For the money you can't beat the shimano suit
  2. Hope this forecast changes FAST!!! Not great fishing weather for August
  3. Wow...Its hard to belive that we have this many differant productive lakes around us. Things like this remind me of just how fortunate to live where we do! I half expected that many of us would be hitting some of the same lakes, boy was I wrong!!! Be safe guys!!!
  4. Anyone want to fish the csfl at scugog with me? Misfish- we should really hunt for those simcoe smallies together in the fall!
  5. Well yet another long weekend is upon us, with nothing planned I am going to take a few day trips. Sunday is Simcoe for smallies, Monday Erie for walleye but I dont know where to go on saturday. I was thinking sparrow or cuch, I want to do lmb. Coming from Orangeville I think I will head north on 400.
  6. Just did what I consider my first big tournement and I didn't sleep at all the night before. Maybe got a couple hours sleep at most and it really hurt me lol. I lost a fish and freaked out and tossed a rod into the lake...looking back it was pretty silly, I have never done that before. Good thing I was shallow and could see the tip pointing out of the weeds so I got back. We still had a great day and laughed about it all day. We don't talk about the results although respectable, we talk about the "melt down" Next tournement I will probable not sleep the night before either
  7. I think they all work the same Raycaster, you may also have the ability to use the community uploads. People can upload their sonar data and it will update to the maps. I updated about 4-5 times thoughout the year Good purchase for sure!!!
  8. can tire does have the 4 bank but its $$$ And I'm not sure if its ok for marine use?
  9. It may be that you have 1 year to update with the newest data. My chip was similar, 1 year free updates Maybe?
  10. Go as long and powerful as you can afford. Terrova is WAY better as stated above
  11. Thanks guys, learned a lot about bias ply tires
  12. The tire has a max rating of 50psi should I run it at the max? I find that the trailer bounces a lot and I dont think the suspension is even allowed to do anything with such an under infalted tire
  13. Maybe they were trying to sell me radial tires?
  14. Wonder if they checked that when I asked them to do a once over on everything
  15. 50-60 really? Well ya they are prob WAY under inflated lol. Think I set them to 35 like an idiot!!! Ooops
  16. I have been looking to upgrade my boat trailer tires. I just had it in to the shop for some brake work and asked the guy why my tires were wearing funny? The outside and inside row of tread are half the size as the middle rows. He tells me that the axle is too light for the trailer and its flexing and that a radial tire will help a little. Can I use the same rim as the bias-ply? Or maybe get some shiny ones?
  17. The reason I switched to the KVD's was for a traier hook. I always will choose a trailer hook over non for spinner baits. I feel my boating ratio is higher as well as my confidence. Oh and always r-bend and tie directly, they run truer
  18. Not a lot of fish this year, biggest bass was 18" 4lbs roughly. Someone got a 34" pike 7lbs. I also had a really tough saturday and didnt even enter on sunday, went to simcoe instead
  19. Also you will need to conform to all CSFL rules and regs, as this is my first and my co-angler backed out last min I dont want to be violating any rules by doing this.
  20. lol I am so pumped up!!! Thanks
  21. Anyone wanna fish the tri-city CSFL tounement this weekend? I want to fish it, got the boat but have no co-angler. Split entry, boat splits winnings. I dont worry too much about fuel in the boat I can cover that. I am leaving from Orangeville and dont know the tri-lakes at all. Someone who knows a little about the lake will be preferable. Entry is 300 and it leaves from Rotary park in bridgenorth at 7 am and finishes at 3 Disclaimer: This will be my first CSFL
