  1. Welcome, now you have to take more pics cause we like reports with pics.
  2. Now Terry I am not worried about you and lots of snow you have more toys and survival gizmo's than the eskimos not to mention chains on your ATV.Sheesh go fish and give us a report
  3. Thanks for the update your post could save some lives.MTP
  4. Yup your memory is right on dude.Still the same.unfortunately the Mont-Laurier region is getting fished out so you have to drive to Reservoir Gouin for the better walleye fishing. The Lanaudiere region remains tops for trout fishin 45 minutes North of Joliette.
  5. nice fish Kemper wish we had tribs here man.Enjoy your hot tribs and post some more pics.
  6. Nice report Joey next time you should leave Emil your cell number.Oh maybe Paul wouldn't like that . Oh and nice chair for ice fishin complete with side table.Cool.
  7. Wow some fat fish for sure.150 sounds like a great day.
  8. Wow Grant now that is some set of eyes. What a way to make up for lack of fall Quinte walleye
  9. You know no matter how hard we try to warn people it seems others have to take risk eventhough common sence should be the priority. If one is going to venture out onto the ice when they should not at least take precautions like ice spikes(almost sounds like this gentleman who fell through the ice knew what to expect. Where a floater suit and if you can't have one of those wear a PFD until you are absolutely sure it is safe .At least with some of these items you may have a fighting chance. Far too many deaths each year cause of lack of a little common sense or a warped ego Please be safe.MTP
  10. Actually Uglyfish if you are using photobucket click direct link then right clic copy and then click our OFC insert image the one with the sun and trees then right click in the retangular box and paste. Now your images will be showing in your report. Jeeze I remember just over one year ago Wayne was going out of his way to help me post some pics. Nice report and you gotta love the frabill ice shelter I have the venture similar set up 2 compartments with side by side that allow 2 holes each compartment.Looking forward to your next report. Mike
  11. I have caught them in winter any where from 3 feet right up to 30 feet. They don't always hit the big minnows either.Sometimes the perch size minnow is all a Pike wants.Just remember to use a some tough line for Pike and don't forget to use a leader. Good luck .Mike
  12. Well here we go alot of recommondations for a very expensive colored Lowrance which yes I agree Lowrance is the way to go. BUT Lets not forget Gerritt has a budget for $500 so what can he get that would be decent in that price range?
  13. Well Gerritt although I do like Lowrance products I find them a little over priced. When I purchased my boat in 2004 I made the mistake of buying a unit without a built in GPS.Yes I am happy with my Lowrance X-51 but I should have opted for the GPS. You should contact Percher you can a pretty nice quality Hummingbird that falls into your budget.A good bang for the buck.
  14. lol glen .you have the upper hand if the spot is dead you start up the boat and move on.oh and no minnows aloud in the trout lake. your just an old smoothie eh.Don't worry when the local ice is ready we will be back at it.
  15. Nice to see others catching fish looks like you will have a nice meal John.

  19. Well the time finally came to go ice fishing for the first time this Winter. I was so pumped up and ready but this was my first ever Skunking on the ice .NO FISH NODDA A SNIFF. I loaded up the Van and began to round up my many passengers My friend GlennK(some of you met in Quinte)his son Andrew,my brother in law Chris,my Nephew Trevor(His first time ice fishing)and my son Ryan who will outlast us all for determination and effort. We headed up to Northern Quebec not far from Mont-Tremblant Ski resort. Well you think what better way to catch fish bring my nephew to an outfitter for his first time .Nope Wrong No speckled trout and no rainbows.Thats fishin Despite no fish we turned our day into alot of fun.Could not have had better weather very mild conditions none of our holes in the ice froze over all day. Can't wait for the ice to thicken up here near home.we were fortunate enough to be fishin on 12 inches of ice today. Here are some pics. Another day that starts at Lew O'clock.Slowpoke this shot is for you Bud my gang minus me. uncle Chris top left my so Ryan bottom left.Nephew Trevor and Andrew and his Dad GlennK. My new toy works well it did show a branch at the bottom but too bad the trout were at the other end of the lake. Yes fishing can be tough at times. Now you've all heard of Camp Jiggy Jiggy well this is Fort Jiggy jiggy. As my son walks by I notice his eye swelling up.upon close examination it looks pretty bad but no need for medical attention. It seems he dinged his eye on the sled pulled by the Ski-Doo earlier this morning .He said it didn't hurt.Never told me Sorry for the pics of the dried boogers and smeared hot chocolate. What service from the outfitter wood deliverie although we had plenty. This is our new fishin Buddy. The bite was so dead we just made the best of the day and built our selves a fishing mascot.Funny all the birds took off. Now our new friend lied to us here he is telling us how big the trout was but it got away. We did have one helluva snow ball fight and the kids had a blast throwing snowballs at Glenn and I as we tried desperately to catch trout. My Nephew became so annoying I chased him a couple of times but the 2nd time I fell really hard on the ice hitting my elbow. Which hurts like hell and is very swollen.Man I am getting old I came so close to catching the little bugger .Still have my speed just no more endurance balance or durability. Now I know how Terry felt this week NOW PETER AKA(BITE ME) I know your missing my big yellow Tweety suit so Peter I have decided to make it up to you.Sorry too warm for the big yellow survival suit. Are you ready!!!!!!!! Scroll down So Peter what do you think of this tie.I bought it for you for Christmas Bud. I hope you like it Well folks sorry for the lack of fish but sometimes you just have to make the best of the day. I look forward to the next ice fishin adventure. MTP
