  1. My Lab takes off to the basement and hides behind a sofa. Even severe thunder storms scare the crap out of her.My Pom however just barks like mad, and wathches to see what i do. If i dont show signs of concern, she just lays back down and goes to sleep.

  8. Actually, you appear to be right.I did some googling, and For some reason, norther lake Champlain and parts of Lake Magog seem to have a greater concentration of this fish than most other places. There is no doubt that they are a rare occurance in other areas, but not as rare as WFN made out. Scientists cant figure out why these locations have a higher amount of the Hybrid than other bodies of water.
  9. I have an extra rod that i would like to use as a dedicated drop shot rod.Its a 7' ML Fast action bait casting rod. I know i could google it, but you boys have always been wealth of info for me. What do i need as far as line, hooks, sinkers, Knots, swivels, technics, etc ? I have long heard that this technic will catch fish in all situations. Bout time i gave it a "shot" Thanks!!!

  22. Is this still going? Holy Lordy people!!! There was a time when mice and live frogs were the go to bait. Now, because of changeing social pressure, not so much. Never used mice, but i sure remember as a kid, catching frogs with dad to go bass fishing.Still remember the squeal as we rigged them up. As mentioned, with all the new life like lures and baits on the market, we dont need the live stuff anymore. If i was stranded in the bush, with a lake nearby, a fishing rod and a box of live mice, you can be darned sure those little suckers are going for a swim. Other than that, SPINNERBAITS ARE MY NEW FRIEND
