You could go to the Ontario Parks website and look at the unmaintained, or the non operating parks. They are free and from what Ive read there are some pretty good spots for camping and fishing.

I use a paddling one also, I just bought an Extrasport Osprey, which is designed for kayak/canoe fishing, all sorts of pocket and places to attach things. Very comfortable. And not terribly expensive, around $85 or so.

The boat was probably used as a 'mothership' they troll and set the hook on the boat then get in the kayak and go for a ride. As for no life jacket, to each his own, he does have the boat right next to him, and there is the argument that people go surfing, windsurfing, swimming, and scuba diving without life jackets and that is the norm. Having said that I always wear mine, but thats because Im always out alone.

Do they give you a total price including all of the shipping costs, brokerage fees, and taxes before you commit to buy? Or do you have to pay the shipping company all of the extra costs when the package arrives at your doorstep?

I was just at Princess Auto in Oshawa earlier today looking at trailer parts. They had some 12" tires and rims on sale for 59.00, I think they were the 5.30-12 ones but im not 100%. I just checked on their catalogue and they are regularly $74.99 and for just the tire they are 44.99. Not sure what these prices are like compared to anywhere else. A good thing to use for starting your fires is cardboard egg cartons or the tim hortons drink holders. They start really easily and last quite a while for the kindling to catch.

Nice Yak, now all you have to do is pimp it out with a fishfinder and a couple of rod holders and your all set.

Is it?? Or is it that we now know that too much exposure to the sun can cause skin cancer? In relation to that I think we are just better educated than our forefathers were. In relation to global warming etc...isn't that part of the evolutionary process? Everything comes in cycles? Im not sure what the cause is, I am certainly not a scientist, but it appears that even the scientists cant agree!!

I looked at this GPS a few weeks ago at BPS in Vauhan Mills, if I remember correctly the unit came with a pretty good background map of canada as well as the US, even though it only states that it comes with the continental US. If it doesnt you will need to buy a further map chip (memory card with the map preloaded) or a cd so you can load them onto your own. I dont think that they are cheap thought! Anywhere from $100 to $300 depending on what level of maps you want.
