By Happy I mean you sound miserable, like calling a fat guy slim or a bald guy curly. There were two people giving you a compliment and one person saying sorry, and all you can do is be critical of other people. Surely instead of making a snide comment you could have just said thanks or appology accepted or something similar.
-
Wow you must be the guy nick named Happy. Cant you just accept the compliment without critisizing or having a dig at other people??

Just before christmas I picked up 2 1gb sd cards from the best buy website for $29.99 or $39.99. I have seen them on sale recently but I just checked the website and they are no longer there. They do however have a 2gb card on sale for $49.99 which is $70 off the normal price.

In order for someone to identify a fishing hole by a picture that someone has posted, that person would have to have been to that spot a number of times. Ever been to a spot and its been empty? Is that because no one posted? Or maybe because people just didn’t get to go fishing that day. I think it’s a bit ridiculous to assume that a spot is busy because someone posts a couple of pictures on a website. No I don’t really see what the internet has done, what I see is an increase in urban populations over the years, people wanting to escape the urban grind, MNR, the Ontario Tourism Board, and the government in general promoting the out doors way of life and activities, other organisations like OFHA promoting themselves more effectively and targeting a broader spectrum of people. Did you ever stop to think that maybe there are just more people taking up our fine sport?? Perhaps I may have missed the point of your ‘Rant’ because I was under the impression that you did care and that was the whole reason for your post. I also thought that the entire point of this Forum was for like minded people to have a place to meet and share each others wealth of information and knowledge.

Ive bought a lot of stuff over the internet, most of it though was when I was living in England and there was no duty or brokerage fee's. From what I can understand if the value is under $20 there is no duty or brokerage fee's. Anything over this is charged both. From what I have seen, Cabela's is a fantastic place to buy from here in Canada. They will let you know all the taxes, duty, and brokerage fee's before you order. This saves you from having the nasty surprise when the guys or gals in the Brown shirts show up at your door with $100 worth of stuff demanding $75 in fee's There use to be a good guide on Ebay.ca about this but I just looked it up and I cant find it. I'll try looking again when I have a bit more time. Happy shopping!!! Pinch

I knew this ones Momma was out there somewhere!! -
Thats a shame. I just went in and asked for what I needed and they gave it to me without any problems. Unless they told you they wouldnt sell to you, I'd just go in and ask for it.

Here is a company that my Dad has been using for about 20 years for his upholstery business. I've been there a couple of times for foam to build some Halloween costumes for the kids. 173 Bartley Drive North York, ON M4A 1E6 (416) 755-4288 Its located at Victoria Park and O'Connor in Toronto. I think there is another shop my Dad also uses near Pickering if that’s better let me know and I can find out more about that one. Pinch

In Canada you certainly can be arrested for copyright infringment. It is a criminal offence under the Copyright Act and comes with a maximum 5 year prison term and a one million dollar fine. Here is the link from the Department of Justice, look at the heading titled Criminal Remidies. http://lois.justice.gc.ca/en/showdoc/cs/C-...ga:l_IV-gb:s_42

Thanks Jedi, I've been looking at that forum for a while. There's some pretty good stuff in there. I got out today for a quick spin around the Trent River. The weather was great, but the current was prety strong.

Fogh is just off the 401 between Islington and Kipling, in Toronto. The website is www.foghmarine.com.

I got the one with the mirage drive. It's the 2006 Adventure. I got a great deal on it from Fogh Marine. $1800 plus tax instead of $2300. The mirage drive is what made me buy it. Much easier to pedal and fish than to paddle and fish. I hope to get out in it on Wednesday providing the weather is ok. Ill take a few pics and let you know how it goes!

I picked up my new fishing kayak yesterday!!! Now I just have to find somewhere I can launch it and stay dry! Any ideas for a spot near Belleville or Trenton??
