  1. Thats what its all about!!! Great report!
  2. Thanks! After reading Roy's link I reassessed and put on my trickle charger. My deep cycle is 24hr reserve, so it's got more than enough for my 30lbs MinnKota
  3. En route to thunder bay there are three lakes called mom, dad, baby lake. I always thought that was cool. Definitly seen my fair share of trout, clear, long and little lake.
  4. And now you've convinced me to go largemouth fishing tomorrow
  5. For the many hours of use I get from a full charge, I don't mind waiting 24 hrs or more for re-charging. If its not charged yet, just pull out the paddles hahaha.
  6. Ezactly. Im on my way out the door to get the sale price.. I paid full price just last week.
  7. The dragonflies won't appreciate the competition
  8. Do you feed your dog spam? I've never seen such a one-way conversation on this forum before.
  9. We certainly want your money! I'm on the fence with this issue. I believe nip can handle a small commercial fishery, but the overharvesting of fish from native, non-commercial sources seems very unsustainable. Same goes for non-native poachers! I've heard lots of stories of people getting bags and bags of free walleye from their native friends. The fact that my parents can get a couple pounds of cheeks for free from a person who knows a person is very disturbing.
  10. Haha garbage scow. That's what I call my sportspal now thanks to you... Although the trolling motor remedied my speed problem
  11. The "smart" eliminator charger is on sale at CT tomorrow for 20.00. At least in north bay. I just bouught a quaker state, have used it for about 7 hrs on my Minnkota 30lbs and so far still have full power. I was told to nearly kill the battery before charging it... But I'm going to read Roys link before I take further advice from acquaintances
  12. Very, very cool photo!
  13. Absolutely! My bro lives out there now and basically gets all the sustenance he needs from the local farms. Eggs, cows, chicken, bison, veggies, berries, its all there. I've actually put some effort into buying local around north bay as well.... Lots of farms in the satelite villages
  14. Someone on this board reported seeing them take over a lake up north a while back. Nosbonsing? Damn, that's not good!
  15. A great way to spend a quick evening The second and third fish are good catches!
  16. Never tried them... Anything with liquid fish-juice is dangerous for me to own. I'd spill it somehow... I already have enough random crows eating out of the back of my truck as it is. I suspect salted minnows work better anway.... Although that could be what the crowes are eating come to think of it.

  18. Oh ya haha. Had paddle back alone, in the dark, with the dead weight of a battery and trolling motor I was impressed.
  19. I thought for sure this was going to be about Kickingfrog pledging his allegience to his King
  20. A bit of a funny story... When I bought the canoe, it came with an old MotorGuide Circa 1988. I never really got to use it, because I never bothered picking up a good battery. Well, this year I go all out and buy a Quaker State Deep Cycle, ready to rock! First trip out and ZAP, there goes my motorOff to CT, spend $150 and I'm into a MinnKota haha. So far so good...I've never been so lazy and I'm loving it!!
  21. This one makes me laugh
  22. Haha The way Joey catches fish out of my canoe, he gets a lot of threats. To round out the weekend, we were catching walleye in 5 feet of water....mid day, full sun! horrible photo i know. Recognize this one, Joey?
  23. The bay where the cottage rests is just magnificient....so much privacy. Sounds like one heck of a weekend. Cheers!
  24. Rick said he'd share with me...send 4 my way
  25. Haha I wish... Doubt they'll ever come to north bay tho
