  1. Whats happening mdej? most people use electrical tape but i use packing tape reason why its thinner and more adhesive i just cut out a piece so it fits nicely on the spool.
  2. I seen your pic in the gallery and my jaw almost dropped that really must have hurt, what happened and what was the outcome of that situation?
  3. Well that is some good advice that i never heard before for beginners i wish i knew that when i was learning, my advice was aimed toward using PP line that stuff seems to slip around on the spool once and a while which caused headaches "MAJOR BIRD NESTS" for me when i was learning how to use a baitcaster.
  4. With that kinda cash i would recommend a Shimano Citica 201d or you can pick up a Quantum AC501pt that model comes with a flipping switch so at least you can learn not only how to cast but also when your ready to learn how to flip just turn the flip switch on and off you go. P.S before spooling on new line when your done tying the knot to your spool put some tape on it to avoid the line slipping on the spool.
  5. Awesome report and nice healthy looking pike thanks for sharing your pics.
  6. If you cant beat them join them i contribute so much a month to my RRSP natural resource investment on average i make a additional $150 to $200 bucks a month profit and over the next few years the more builds up the more i will get in return, this link is the actual fund profile i invested in "I aint a banker this is not spam" http://globefunddb.theglobeandmail.com/gis...me=BMO+Resource
  7. Pro X Looks nice and my second pick would be pro tournament, the Pro Z has to much black on the shoulders and chest area wearing it all day in the sun i think the heat will be aggravating.
  8. I picked up a Shimano Citica 201D at Lebarons this week for $154 bucks i was lucky indeed, the day before i went to Lebarons i was stomping around BPS i came across the Citica and they had no left hand retrieve so i didn't bother to purchase it BPS price was $169.00, so i was pretty happy i dropped in at Lebarons to look around.
  9. I don't know if you guys remember this one but the story goes like this i live around the corner from this incident and took the kids to the store i walked right on the sidewalk and no tree was down yet but on the way back 5 minutes later there it was.
  10. Nicely done CC, I drove by the old mill bridge yesterday and noticed the Humber River is still frozen over i cant wait till tribes are totally thawed out and levels drop, soon i will be out there rainbow hunting.
  11. That combination of species would be hard to fit all on one rod and reel but if you are looking for a all around reel and rod the quantum incyte IT30F spinnig reel and a quantum catalyst 7'0 foot rod model CAS702MH would be a nice little outfit for all around fishing and will cost you around $140 all together.
  12. If you come down to jamieson you can park your vehicle on my street i live right near dufferin and queen.
  13. Big buck is on the right track but i would suggest going from the 400 to 401 east exit yorkdale park your vehicle in the yorkdale parking lot close to Dufferin theres a Chevy dealer right in front of the bus stop so look for it so you can park close by and hop on the Dufferin bus it will take you right down to the CNE grounds and from there its a 5 maybe a 10 minute walk.
  14. I wasn't assigned to a team yet .
  15. I would rather buy a Refurbished model at least this way you know that the glitches are fixed.
  16. For 230 bucks you can get a nice pair of neoprene waders and a nice pair of boots to go with them, Last year they had some good deals on all sorts of waders at the spring BPS sale go and check it out if you can.
  17. The grand is still a awesome fishery , I lived in kitchener for almost 3 years and the grand was like fisherman's heaven playground for me, Salmon and trout still do there runs and walleye also and in the bellwood area "Fergus" they stock the grand with browns but my fav was the smallie action i still venture out those ways in the summer, overall i rate the grand one of the best urban rivers in ontario.
  18. Yep i bring my reels to get serviced and warranted at Aikmans.
  19. I own and love my 96 GMC Safari van and if i was to get something newer it would be a safari van. GMC And Chevy is my pick.
  20. No need for embarrassment nauti you got some good singing talent i think i embarrassed myself more often than the usual at karaoke bars half wasted waking up the next day realizing how silly i must have looked.
  21. I would go but be careful if they want alot of personal info i would be concerned.
  22. Have you guys come across the Daiwa Steez 103HL? i seen it at the spring fishing show and alls i gotta say is its the lightest baitcaster "5.5 ounces" i ever touched but its kinda heavy on the wallet. heres a link of the specs: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwasteez.html This is something i wont be picking up anytime soon, i received the BPS spring sale flyer and and did a circle check on it for items i will be purchasing.
  23. I totally agree with what you say but most people i know don't like to use PP for flipping they would rather use a low stretch mono line , 30 power pro is equivalent to a 8 pound test diameter i think it would get a little ugly if a mishap birds nest would happen or you catch a big one in the slop.
  24. My bad that happened to me twice from there last two site upgrades and congrats on the baby girl.
  25. This summer will be my first time using a flipping outfit and need some line info, i equipped my quantum AC501PT with Gorrilla 50 pound test braided line and was just wondering if its good stuff to use for flipping, what do you guys suggest Mono or Braided?
