Thanks for all the replies guys, a couple people asked how i shoot the vid clips while fishing, well , its nothing fancy LOL Spiel, funny the things you notice when reviewing the clips. Yup a Limey....not Australian! A change is better than a rest? I had a dream about icefishing last night...guess i'm really looking forward to it, and yeah..snow is normal this time of year. JB....get yer family up here, I aint gonna say it again!

Hi all, Went for a couple of hours from the shore this afternoon, getting cold up here now, snowing plenty too....not long before the ice reports start flowing Anyway, took a lot of video footage and mashed it together....i think thats called editing...lol..... COUPLE HOURS BY THE LAKE SHORE

Yup, its totally infested....a 10 point jumped a neighbours fence where i work night shifts and scared the @#$# out of us whilst we were outside having a smoke....and thats right in town too! We've got 3 does on our property in the bush since May...we've watched them raise 6 bambis between them. They aint bothered by you either......here's one on my drive the other day....i wasnt using much zoom either...lol...it was a stand off....

I was told to try getting a larrge coffee tin, stick a soldering iron in one end and seal it up, have the other end half open and fill the can with whatever sawdust/chips you wanna use, put it under the BBQ and plug the solder iron in, have not tried it . It might have been a method to cold smoke though.

Hey mike, i wanna give a long reply to a post that obviously took a lot of care and effort to put together...lol...but its sooo awesome and sooooo detailed i dont know that i could cover it all.....what i will say is that is some awesome fishing you guys had, trully excellent pics and a memorable post that has me wanting to go there ! Thanks for all the kind replies folks. My wife and i had a blast making the video. I work with kids and i showed one of them the clip, he started laughing saying i was 'Vince from Slap Chop', then for the rest of the day is walking round saying "your gonna love my nuts" (if you've seen the ad you'll know why) Now there's a good idea "the LimeyAngler fishing show ", my perfect job...d'you think they'll pay me? Thanks Roy, not sure about charmed, but i do count my blessings regularly, keeps me from whining and whinging a little...lol. Good stuff dan, sometimes a burger just doesn't hit the spot. Thanks, i take all the bones out cuz my wife liquidizes some for the baby, he loves it boiled and mixed with garden peas, but like you, with the smaller ones if its just for us i dont bother. As for the cheeks i'm not bothered, ive done it but dont think its worth the effort...just my opinion, i do like the crispy fins sometimes though.
