the 718 i believe will only do point tracking... not full gps...
a lot of the humminbird stuff interchanges...
i've got a 767, matrix 17 and a matrix 67...
all the plugs are the same... (mounts, power, gps/accessory and transducers)
check the gps puck to see how many satellites it'll pick up...
AS-GR4 - 4 satellites
AS-GR16 - 16 satellites
AS-GR50 - 50 satellites...
make sure you get the "Y" cable, it allows you to hook up the gps and other accessories
If you are asking this type of question, you should really take a boating course or something...
it's obvious you have zero knowledge about motors and possibly boating and that can be fatal/dangerous when on the water...
not trying to be negative, but...
Mine fits surprisingly well, especially considering my petite frame...
here's my brother in my suit... he's 6'0, 220...
that's a 3xl... probably a tad big for ya Lew
i bought it in 05, when i was "skinny" then met my wife which added around 80lbs to me and it still fits...
very happy with my Nautilus NFS1000 suit
a 4 door pick up has the same people capacity as an SUV... added benefit is stronger engine, suspension, transmission and bigger brakes...
plus additional storage space... much easier to carry hockey gear, strollers etc... in the back of a pick up compared to an SUV...
add in the cost of a tonneau or a cap and it's still a better way to go when you put it all in perspective
plus trucks have a lower roll over rating compared to SUVs....
lots in the area or close surroundings...
bayfront park, la salle park, pier 4, pier 8, binbrook conservation area, grand river, port Dalhousie...
lots of opportunities near by
go big or go home... i didn't vote...
I know i will never buy another SUV...
an SUV is an SUV, and a truck is a truck
next set of wheels is gonna be a fullsize crewcab truck...
i currently drive a 2000 envoy V6 it has 260K on it, no major problems
out of those 2 motors go with the 6...
4hp is typically a single cylinder
6hp is a twin...
less vibration with a twin...
also go longshaft...better performance... plus when 2 guys are closer to the bow area, the prop is still in the water...
my 20hp shortshaft on my longshaft transom pushes the boat 6mph max, i get 5+mph out of the 4hp longshaft
my 4hp yammy longshaft 4stroke pushes my aluminum 16.5 at just over 5mph max
my 4.5 evinrude shortshaft 2 stroke pushes the same at around 4.5mph...
that's 2 FF, 3 batteries, full livewell and no main motor
After coming back from the Dominican Republic, they are running late 90's yamaha 2 strokes, these boats were used everyday, all day while we were down there for 2 weeks and i'm certain they see more use, then what we'd do with them up here...
i wouldn't hesitate if i were you...
Great Work, i'm a tool and die maker and can really appreciate the time and effort you put into this...
I thought about makin my own center pin also, but when i factored in cost of material, machining and design time
i said forget it... i figured by the time it was all said and done would have been around $700+
That's a piece of Art
It looks awesome, Congrats!!
have you thought about getting one of those battery disconnects, kills the power, install a key, it closes the circuit giving the vehicle power again?
also a friend of the family use to pull the fuse for the fuelpump cause he didn't drive the car often, it stopped it from getting stollen...
i've got quantum icon reels, 5 of them...
they have the magnetic bail... works flawlessly
i've been using them for 8 years with no issues... i bought the 20 size reels and use them year round, in the winter they go on the icerods...
they perform flawlessly... no regrets
i don't service them either...
