  1. Way to go Chad. Are the deer flies and horse flies keeping you company?
  2. Saw this post from Maynard Lake Lodge up in North Western Ontario. 57" long with 25" girth. WOW! https://www.facebook.com/NorthwestOntario/posts/360251614101904
  3. Creek chub or Fallfish.
  4. Hey Randy, ever have the Sturgeon Falls double double? Double curds, double gravy. Heart attack in a box.
  5. With all the money the federal government wastes it is a real shame that they wont keep this lab open for research.
  6. I use a left hand retrieve Shimano Castaic on a 7'2" Compre Musky rod for casting and also have a right hand retrieve Currado on a 7' All Star Bad Boy rod. I have to switch hands twice using the currado set up as I switch to cast then reel with the right hand then switch again for figure 8 and cast. My trolling rod is also right hand retrieve, it is a Shimnano Calcutta on a 8' Compre Musky rod. I am not efficient reeling in with my right hand and certainly can't burn baits but I feel I do get a bit better every time.
  7. I will PM you my address for next party invite.
  8. I put a trap in a local creek and forgot about it for a week. When I went to check it there was only 2 minnows in it and 5 big crayfish.
  9. Sooooooo many little ones in Nipissing. I have heard they are very tasty.
  10. picture?
  11. Thanks Rick and Roy. The vent is on the hull of the boat in the back consul side. I was already on that side as the operator and I had both of my passengers move to that back corner to keep the bow up. We were only traveling at 9 mph.
  12. I ruined about 80 litres of fuel by adding water to it .........actually I submerged the tank vent a few times in rough water and the engine sputtered to a stop. I drained the tank by pressurizing it through the vent with my air compressor and blowing it out then fuel line into a garbage pail. I have drained the carbs and pulled the plugs to dry them off. Now how to I get any remaining water or dirt from the inside of the tank? There is a small access port that has about 15 screws holding it on. I believe it holds the float for the gage as there are some wires going to it. Do I remove that and wipe it out? Or is there some additive like methyl hydrate or Seafoam I can add to the tank to remove the water?
  13. Great family day on the lake. Nice way of putting it BigBuck. 2 hand holds do make the fish look bigger, especially if you hold them wayyyyyy out. lol.
  14. Chad, I was and still am interested in hunting your land and my offer of helping you will ALWAYS stand whether I hunt your land or not; but, no way am I paying to hunt any land anywhere. Also, for the hunter from Toronto, I do not believe he would not have applied for the antlerless deer tag in your zone (48). Therefor he could only shoot one buck for $500. I searched kijiji and could not find your ad.
  15. Incredible shot!
  16. dog kibble. Best for me was a piece of white quartz rock (mineral).
  17. Nice. We like pictures (especially of fish).
  18. It is a 17' aluminum and I have had no issues with weight distribution.
  19. I am looking for land to hunt and rivers to fish. I have a chainsaw, ladder, and lots of energy. Lets go check out the land when you take possession. I was thinking about texting you for an update today.
  20. IMO Northland is by far the most inovative tackle manufacturer out there today. Another great product.
  21. 2 words.....Roller Trailer. Looks good F.F. I have a roller trailer with 2 sets of 4 pivoting rollers in addition to my fixed rollers. I have to keep my winch hook on as I back up to the water, but I can push it off or winch it on with it barely in the water. I often land it by pulling it onto the trailer with the bow rope and hooking the winch strap on for the last foot.
  22. Frog tastes better than toad.
  23. BOAT = Bust Out Another Thousand Without gas in the boat she just looks good in the driveway.
  24. Snuck a racoon in there didn't ya?
