  1. Need you to get one for Team 8.
  2. Mmmmmmm. Breast. Perdy fish Bill.
  3. You all have to come visit us on Nipissing. I iced 4 walleye today and 2 perch without even trying. I was pissing around in the hut and lost at least another 5 fish. Just a set line and minnow. I only fished from 3-5:30. One nice one at 21" went back in along with a little guy. Kept 2 jumbos and 1 eye.
  4. Pickereyes! That is the Pickerel / Walleye hybrid.
  5. I have one almost identical. Mine is marked TAICO JAPAN It is marked with a model # that includes 281A but I can't find that model or there may be another number or letter that I can make out.
  6. Get the 115hp, and I will trade you my 1993 Yammy 90hp and a thousand bucks for your Merc. I don't really like Mercs but what are friends for?
  7. I got stuck in the ruts on Calander Bay on Sat.
  8. Beauty dog. Sorry to hijack this Chad, Twocoda did Paxton lose the use of his left eye?
  9. Brian, when are you coming and how come I didn't know about it? If I remember correctly I owe you a couple pops. Tough not to use a shiner on your set (2nd) line. On your jigging rod you can do well with any of the imitation minnows or grubs. I have had lots of perch success using the Gulp maggots on small jigs. If I am not using shiners for walleye then I use jigging raps, airplane jigs, helicopter jigs, lipless cranks, or buckshot spoons.
  10. Fisherman, that is very similar to Sea pie. Lots of communities up North have Sea Pie dinners where people contribute fish and wild game and it is cooked in the same fashion as in your picture. From Wikipedia Sea-pie is essentially a layered meat pie made with meat or fish,[1] and is known to have been served to British sailors during the 18th century.[2] Its popularity was passed on to the New England colonies sufficiently to be listed in American Cookery. In Quebec this dish is called cipaille, cipâtes or six-pâtes (in French), and is a traditional Quebec dish. The French name originated as an adaptation of sea-pie.[3]
  11. Great video. I'm a wuss.
  12. Chad, we have yet to see a c.o. or OPP on Calander Bay this year.
  13. Cool.
  14. Bernie, PM me when the guys come up and I will try and visit. Been trying to meet up with you guys for a couple years now. Blair
  15. I didn't go out today but yesterday was no problem driving. Lots of slush and water but 4 hi was enough to get on and off the lake.
  16. You are too high up off the bottom! Attach your split shot (don't need too big) about 10-12 inches from your hook. Drop it to the bottom and then lift it off 10-12 inches (same distance and hook to sinker). If you are targeting pike you may want to use a treble hook and a titanium leader. I don't use a leader but I get bit off occasionally. You can use a big minnow 3"+ if you are targeting pike. May not get the smaller fish though.
  17. The new Tundra II are awesome. Not the most power but maybe the most versatile. They are light and easy to handle. They have reverse and DONT get stuck. I had a Skandic II 503R and I loved it for pulling and working but It was still not the best for venturing into the deep snow breaking trail.
  18. Check your fuel filter. Maybe blocked up with stuff from the bottom of your tank. The puddle could be from the fuel in the lines that leaked out. Just a guess.
  19. Too many activities with the boys in the mornings. Looks like afternoons only for awhile.
  20. There is a few spots bad with slush on Calander Bay as well. It is fairly visible in daylight so not too hard to avoid. We caught another 6 walleye in 3 hours today but I was talking with a couple guys who landed 27 walleye today.
  21. Great opener on Lady Nipissing.
