Hi guys, Would like to try this lake this Saturday. Never fished Haliburton area before any tips will be really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have one. Was using it since spring. Can't complain, does the job. But I have to admit its too expensive in my opinion.

Might spend Saturday and Sunday on French River chasing some eyes.

I spent half a day last Thursday fishing Balsam. Was trying for pike for couple hours with no luck. Went to do some bass fishing around island after. Fishing was pretty good. My father was cranking and I was throwing wacky worm. I ended up with 2 big basses and lost one huge one close to the boat. My dad got himself a nice smallie as well. Also we got a couple of dinks each. We spent 6 hours in total and got decent 5 fish in the boat.

I have 145 tiller. I bought from USA. Best deal here was from leatherdale marine in orilia. Call them. They will be able to help you.

Nothing beats custom cover, but they are expencieve. I am using heavy duty storm pro from princess auto.

Wish him full recovery as well.

Friend of mine has 1400 tiller with 25 HP. Its really nice boat, but for 1600 25 HP is not enough in my opinion.

Cabela’s Canada announced this week that the official grand opening of its new Barrie, Ontario, store will take place on Thursday, July 10. Jigging depth - 25 - 35 fow. Once you locate bait fish you can jig doesn't matter how deep. I caught pike on 45 fow.

I launched from French River Supply Post and went 15 km upstream. We caught probably 10 smallies jigging for eyes with biggest one around 4-5 lbs.

Me and my wife were camping on French for 3 days since last Friday. Water is really high with a lot of floating logs. We got lucky and didn't hit anything. Fishing was one of my best on French River for last 6 years. We tried to find fish shallow but ended up with 1 small pike, oos smallie and big pike followed. So we start jigging. That paid off really well - wife got her PB eye - 26", I got 21",22" and 18", a lot of 12"-14" for pan. We caught some big smallies and pikes as well. My wife ended our trip with beautiful 10 lbs catfish.
