What a great report! Wow!! 3 daughters....you sure have a handful....and I'm assuming at least 3 bathrooms in the house....LOL. Looked like a great time....some fish were caught, lots of smiles and laughs, great pictures to capture those moments. Congrats on a great 'long weekend' Oh yeah....the cousin looked a lot like some fried fish in the 'tubing' section....she looked much different holding that fish earlier....hehe. Edit....oh sure...fix it before I get a chance to post....LOL. Again....awesome report!

Wish I could help you out UF!! Good on you for trying to help. Back when I was a teenager, our next door neighbour did the same thing with their dog. An amazing husky....kept in a run that was about 4 feet by 12 feet. It too had to step over it's feces. My brother's and I always took time to play with the dog (thru the fence). We'd feed it dog food if we noticed they weren't home for the weekend and we'd take our garden hose and wash all his waste away into their own yard. After several 'conversations' with other neighbours in the area, they gave it to a family who would really love and take care of him. Good luck with it!

Thanks Glen...I think..... LOL Yeah...I'm here far too much, but at least it's mostly at the office, where I have time to post..... This board has given a lot to me (and Bly)...it makes participating very easy....we've met a lot of great people via this board.

Great pics! I have no idea on the shark, but it has to be cool to catch some species that you cant get back home.

Well, hard to believe it's the Labour Day weekend already! What do you have planned? For much of Ontario, it's looking to be the picture perfect weekend. Light winds, temps in the mid 20's and no rain in the forecast. A slight cold front is coming through today, but only affecting the temps by a few degrees. Bly and I are going to try to head back to Sturgeon Lake on Saturday....and then a camping night in the backyard with the little one in our tent. Have a great long weekend everyone...looking forward to the reports. Be safe on the road and on the water!

Even though you had to leave early, you got into some nice bass. Mother nature sure has a way to let you know that she still rules doesn't she? I've seen Lake O go from smooth as glass to 4 foot rollers in 10 minutes before!!

When I had my boat slipped up north last month, I simply took the fuel line off and took it with me. Easy for me because mine's a tiller with the gas tank sitting right in front of it. Pulling plugs is a pain...is there a way to lock the cover down? If so, then just disonnect the spark plug wires....if they want to go thru the trouble to break the cover then I suppose it wouldn't help.

I was talking to a guy about this. Apparently, at a marina one night there were a bunch of thefts....some had locking mechanisms for the outboards, so they just cut through the transom around the bolts to get it off. If someone wants it badly enough they are going to take it....for the run of the mill opportunistic thief, the regular lock/deterrents are probably good enough.

Head to the docks where the big Dinner Cruise ship is docked. Cant miss it...just head down Water Street towards town. You can catch panfish right there with a simple hook, worm and bobber.

I heard the mayor of New Orleans on the radio this morning regarding this. He said they are ready right now for evacuation and at 72hours before projected landfall, they will start evacuating right away if the projected landfall is anywhere near them.

Never call something unsinkable....cause you know what will happen!! Glad to hear everyone was ok!
