  1. LMAO Carl !
  2. I'm not debating...trying to be humourous....Starting to sound like the small block / big block debate from the 70's. Small block would beat me to 1/2 track and then I'd walk right by before the finish line... They could never catch me on the highway. Does a couple seconds on take off change the course of the days fishing? or do the low transom bas boats as you say need the 2 stroke because the 4 strokes weight would sink them? Top end HP for HP isn't going to change anything whether 2 stroke or 4 stroke other than the minor drag added by the engine weight. Almost impossible to test unless you swap motors out on the exact same boat/duplicate fuel load and gear being carried.
  3. Be one way to get a none fishing partner out to the hut !
  4. Okay Remo...who's BIG bottle of rye is that on the table...ahhh...must have been Jeff's !
  5. Yep...that's the link..and why I was curious where Brian came up with his team leaders... as Team #5 is shown leading..although apparently we have Ron's trout. I have a 31.5 walley for the team to give us another 126 points and if by any stroke of luck Crazyhorse remember an OFC logo in his Musky picture from the other day....
  6. My 2 stroke 115 trolled at 3.7 on the Glastron..idling as low as it would stay running...but it was a Johnson..
  7. Where you getting these numbers from Brian!? I'm still trying to confirm the tourneys still going and can't even find our captain.
  8. I've talked with him but not since the new board switch over. I was working on a flight relay to get his son up to Geary's lodge for ice out (without a lot of success). I think something else is in the works but I'm not a liberty to say.
  9. Yep....I've got the same weather situation as Tom! LOL Ground is totally white and grass is gone. Not snow...ice pellets stacked up over an inch deep.
  10. I just went thru this decission Hookset and I went Verado. No great experience based decission...just wanted to be completely away from 2 stroke oil and the storage space the reservoir would have stolen out of my Lund. Guys gave lots of good reason to go Optimax and they could have been spot on and I hope I didn't make a mistake ignoring them. I also think part of it is more guys have the Opti's to sway the "poll"....as it's $3000+ cheaper for a 225 Opti than a for 225 Verado in a boat package price. If you go to the old site at http://ontfish.proboards89.com/ and look for my thread Verado vs Optimax or similar title there was a LOT of good advise there.
  11. UPS has a wheel they spin to see what your brokerage fee will be. Can be anywhere from $10 to $60 for no determinable reason. USPS..like Terry says is the cheapest. The post office collects $5 for brokerage service and the taxes on declared value. If the people you are buying from will only ship UPS you don't have much choice if you really want the item...just a crap shoot on what you'll get charged by UPS.
  12. I'm right there with ya Dawg...my 115 did 3.7 miles per hour idling. 2 pool chlorine buckets hooked to the front side cleats. brought it down to 2.1 nicely and found you don't even hear them. I thought they'd bang the hull sides and they didn't.
  13. Great stuff Jamie!!! Gonna ask you the same old question. OFC logo in any shots....
  14. Just dug thru my old stuff and found the email address [email protected] so I've sent it to Mike there. Hopefully the tourney is still on track. Wayne
  15. If we get it entered and if this things still a go. BIGFISH...what's the news?
  16. Only 15 days to go...can't even find our Team rep to give the entry too... 31.5 " Wally. Dano has the tape measure shot as well if anyone disputes it's length.
  17. You sure it wasn't just water that was sitting in the cover bottom...that pee'd out when tipped?
  18. Good to hear things are on a better track Lorissa...I know all too well about having someone in a similar situation.
  19. That shot is looking South! I'm pretty much sitting over the 64/11 junction taking it. Shows Hwy #11 and the little bridge is the one going into Martin River Provincial Parks campground.
  20. ...but NOT in December. Check the regs very closely. Not that many zones you can fish Lakers in December.
  21. Did yah catch those here.... Welcome aboard!
  22. THANKS Bud!
  23. My '98 Sierra does exactly the same thing Joe....Sometimes they work..sometimes they don't. Takes a good HARD tug on the arm and it will engage. Must be a clutch for when the blades are frozen to the window or something.
  24. Taken last fall Chris. She's right on the corner of Wellesley and Parliament. Her balcony looks down at the crematorium!
