  1. Stay away from ethanol at all cost...even if it means buying premium fuel to do so. We've been dodging ethanol and alcohol in fuel in the aircraft industry for going on 10 years now. It rotts fuel lines, removes sealers used in fuel tank manufacture (causing leaks and the sealer lodging in filters and carb jets) and does nasty things to plastic fuel tanks and parts. Find a good source for your fuel and stick with it.... and when on the road be very cautious. If the pump says "may contain..." go elsewhere.
  2. Seems like it was just yesterday...not a month ago... Just a quick report...only home for a day and then heading back North until September. Will see if I have time to do our fishing success post, to date, before I return....or will save it for Fall. Great to see EVERYONE again and meet some new OFC'rs ! Thanks for making Leah feel at home and she's even willing to come back again. We went from Monday to Monday and on Tuesday Lew and I went out in seach of Esox but came up with nothing but a couple of pike each. Tell me this great man doesn't enjoy his time on the water! He also saw first hand how nice that Navionics chip in the Lowrance worked for combing thru the rock piles of Muskrat and West Bays. Great seeing the 'plummas for the third year in a row and Maureen as well.. Leah working on Rock Bass Champion Had a good day out with Rich Clemens on the boat, on Thursday Part of the floatila at the Friday Noon fish fry on Tombstone Island. A great time had by all and a reason to arrive early folks! Hope it's a yearly event! A few more shots We had Dano and his sweety, Fern, out on Thursday night and Leah put on a clinic for us. Pickeral after Pickeral and us skunked! Hell we quit netting them for her....told her she was on her own! T.J. Worshipping the devil ! Most of the gang before Saturdays fish tourney! Chris winning the trolling motor supplied by Spiel ...and Crappie Steve winning the crappie prize LOL Bernie, Cliff, douG and Rick's father. Some of the gang enjoying the tunes.. Leah and Shelley having some great laughs. THANKS Shelley ! A nice island in Marganser(sp) Bay, that Leah and I nosed up on for a picnic lunch. and one of her numerous pike as we tried to leave the same bay. That was the hot colour for the day.
  3. Just what I was told by the certified Yamaha Tech at Temagami Marine. Yamaha was seeing a massive increase in upper pivot wear from bass boat guys using transom savers.
  4. HEY Honey.... you weren't wearing that outfit last time I saw you.....
  5. Yamaha now actually recommends NOT using a transom saver. They are seeing an increase in upper pivot bushing wear from the transom savers changing the load path of the motors weight when trailering.
  6. THANKS! for putting that together Rick ! Seems like it was just yesterday...... That gives those that didn't attend a real feel for what they missed....everyone with smiles, enjoying the occassion, brought together by this message board.... Something that would never have happened less than even 10 years ago.
  7. That'll buff right out ! Mine's still floating upright bud !
  8. Cheaper than a lower unit !!!!!!
  9. Happy belated Birthday my friend!
  10. Just went out and took a few shots of stuff that grows in the yard. It comes in many shapes and forms...some as tall as 4 feet at times...and i'm not talking about the stuff in the first picture...just the poison ivy! LOL And before I find a wack of pickers in the yard...that's hemp.. missing the secret ingrediant unfortunately or I'd be much wealthier!
  11. Top cloud layer is just making my yard as I type. Lots of booming...33C..gotta be 40+ humidex and I've been working outside all afternoon..not fun.
  12. He sent you so many 'cause he heard you were a Master Baiter Brian...okay...I'll leave ya alone for a few months Bud. Good luck in the Tourneys Brian...fish hard and catch lots a pounds. And for any that don't know .....you can sponsor Brian for $/lb for his bass season to aid cancer research.
  13. Congrats Matty! Start typing...and typing...and typing....
  14. Thanks everyone! Yes Joey..net and JR for sure. Joe...what can I say about the tie? Airplanes paid for this piece of paper..so I brought them along for the ride...LOL She did very well...all 105 lbs of her...fighting health issues/hospital stays and still managed to complete in 4 years by not putting her Thesis off for another year, like so many do.
  15. LOL....that's really why I had to be there Kennyman...just had to touch that $70,000 piece of paper!
  16. Great stuff TJ and Monique ! ..and you look soooo thrilled he has his hand on your shoulder! Chinese.....every Wednesday night my friend...every Wednesday night ! We have our own table in there....

  18. Great stuff Steve ! Congrats to you and the Mrs and many happy years as one big family to all of you.
  19. Looks like we've got everything done....our last obligation was fullfilled this morning as we proudly watched daughter #1 graduate with a BA (with Honours) in New Image Media, from Ryerson University. Took her out for a celebration lunch, saw her "new" condo/apartment that she's moving into on Jarvis street with her boyfriend (his financial problem now...LOL) and then high tailed it for Bass Pro. Very dissappointing trip to BPS...absolutely NOTHING that I had on my shopping list (that's all in their catalogues) on their shelves. Still blew over a grand on Gortex Rain wear for both of us...but didnt' get what I really wanted to complete my boat the way I wanted it. Left there and met up with "Tinbanger" in Barrie. What a fluke for timing that was as when I called him on his cell.... I was maybe 50 cars behind him on the 400 heading North! Picked up a prize for the table at Lakair from him and will thank Dave on the winners behalf ahead of time right here and now. Will see many of you at Lakair in the next week or two. We'll be there from the 18th to the 25th and are in Cabin #7. Good luck on the water gals/guys and play SAFE ! Cheers, Wayne
  20. Yep Fishers a great lad from Peterborough. His father's top notch as well... with Fishercast being a landmark in Peterborough for MANY years. Ducks are still gonna win......
