  1. Sure you could Paul. Many ways it could be done.
  2. Hits the nail on the head I'd say....
  3. Yes...you need to put a small hole at each end of the crack..beyond it actually to be sure you got it and 3/32 is plenty big for that. Then make your patch so it's at least 2 inches beyond the crack in each direction for all 4 sides. Then you want to drill a double staggered row of rivets around the perimeter of the patch. These rivets are about an inch apart. First row about 1/4" in from the edge of the patch...next row about an inch further in and centered between each of the first rows rivets. Also u should have a few rivets about 3/8" away from the crack on each side of it. Once you have all your holes done you need to debur everything by HAND turning a larger drill bit in all the holes...scuff the patch and the hull and apply a good layer of Sikaflex to the patch. Dip each rivet in Sikaflex before install and then set them all. DO NOT USE SHEEEET RIVETS FROM CTC !
  4. Beauty fishes Don !!! I bet you're still smile'in ! Congrats...great way to start !
  5. As Terry notes...if you plan on releasing them fish the top 30FOW only. If you want to eat some smaller ones...there are some spots/shoals for that. I watched a few guys last year...troll the reach..get on top of a bait ball and then pull everything in and stay on the bait ball with electric and vertical jig the ball for eye's..I mean pickeral.
  6. I'm still here Mike...if you can make Penetang by 9.. you're in!
  7. NO pick ups Mike...floats are half off the plane. Nighty nite lads....I hope tomorrow Glen and I can make ya feel sorry for not saying "Hell yah" !
  8. Your back shouldn't be making the trip though...I don't wanna be the "reason" you're lame for the next few months! 2hrs! 2hr-15
  9. Nobody??? ..... tell your wife you got called in for OT !!
  10. I can taste the fresh air...all I need now is the sound of Lakeland's Beaver chugging up the lake, to warm up the engine, in the am ....That is my alarm clock at the lake.
  11. And you saw the entrance change Doug...rear parking area at the church as the Petro Can park gate is closed.
  12. Glen and I are going out at 9am (SAT), on Georgian Bay. If someone wants to join us we have room for a third. Need to be at my house in Penetang 9am...I'll be up 'till midnight..send me a PM Wayne
  13. Page 17 Lake Erie... A person who is angling from a boat may use two (2) lines in the waters of Lake Erie..except in Rondeau Bay and the inner bay of Long Point Bay
  14. Hey..beat sittin around waitin for them thar sliding doors to come in Harry!
  15. The sinker and hook are the way they came from RedOctober. I believe it's an ounce...but the hook weights just as much. Plenty for a none current enviroment.
  16. Didn't get much work done around here today...too busy dreamin of the big Gal waitin for me out on the bay. Got the Monster tubes I bought from RedOctober ready to go. They come with a weighted single hook..not sure what LARGE # it is..and I wanted to add trailer hooks. What did I have around here I thought....ah...032 stainless safety tie wire..some twistin pliers and I went to town. Ready for the Bay in the mornin. BTW..to give an idea of size...those are 6/0 trailer trebles and those pliers are 10" or so long!
  17. I can walk you thru it Nelson...it's still gonna cost you a $15 tube of Sikaflex 291...a piece of 5052 or 6061T6 Aluminum to make the patch, if you can find it local, and a few dozen solid or avex tank rivets. You will also need the tools to pull or set said rivets.
  18. I hear ya Dax! I did my part this year...I was the MCI website beta tester ! ..and I missed this one I'm not gonna disclose how many thousands of dollars I've put into some Ontario hatchery programs that I believe in.
  19. Why I've never joined MCI in the last 22 or 23 years that I've known of it's existance. Seems to be too much testosterone and pissin into the wind, when it comes to the top of the fresh water food chain.
  20. A FEW spots? We had to use a good part of my 275 HP to get thru a few spots IN THE CHANNEL..the weeds are so thick. They are all still green and flourishing. I figured he was after Muskie..not Bait! LOL
  21. Won't catch any sitting here...hit the road...let us know how it went!
  22. Not sure how you typed that Lew...I shed some tears just readin it. If you want to continue the tradition...I'm sure there are many in your fishing circle that will pitch a tent, clean the fish and even cook'm I'm sure.
  23. ..and what Huey said! Had a customers battery that wouldn't start his airplane last week. It had 12.8 volts...and absolutely not a drop of acid left in it from him overcharging it all summer at his cottage.
