  1. So I made a comment yesterday, in a thread, that I was thinking of getting a couple of Canon MAG10HS electric riggers for next season. Next thing you know I have a PM from Slowpoke and he has already taken the time to call Anglers Outfitters in Woodstock and has haggled a GREAT price (below Cabelas) on a pair of them on my behalf. Brian is also buying them out of his own pocket and I'm reimbursing him at BOQ when he delivers them into my hands. Just can't beat that kinda service!! THANKS BRIAN! Then he points me in the direction of some 8' 6" Shimano TDR trolling rods at the wonderful price of $37Cdn for THREE. I bought 6, as had he just a short time before me, and the seller is in Barrie..so I'm trying to pick the dozen rods up on Thursday as well for both of us. Saves us delivery charges all around and we'll have them in hand for BOQ to slap some reels onto for our boat guests. Oh ya...the mandatory fish picture for the thread
  2. I could live there !! Nice shot Dan.
  3. Thanks for that Terry!! Just got off the phone from "thanking" my brother (Gulf War vet, Bosnia, etc). About our only call each year..but an important one for me. Let us never forget those that served in all the wars and peace actions, as well as those that are currently serving to protect our rights and freedoms.
  4. Some more great fish from the BOQ ! Good stuff WD
  5. Great stuff Shawn...nice Walleye chop out there I see! How's the back holding up?
  6. I think there's just enough docks there for an OFC get together! LOL
  7. Starbrite hull cleaner seems to clean everything up for me.
  8. I have two unitrolls...just thinkin of goin electric for next season..with my manuals as my extra pair for foursomes in the boat for lakers. I'll go browse Ebay........
  9. We excuse dyslexia when it comes to lying about fish !
  10. Any year I'm still alive and can fish with family and friends = a TEN Corey!
  11. ...he still can't buy a fish on Lake Temagami though! LOL
  12. If anyone wants to download it to their own computer...you can do so off our servers. Right click the link and select "save target as" http://www.irishfield.on.ca/gallery/PittanceinTime.wmv
  13. It's Shimano itself. Calcutta TE400's are $200 more in Canada than the USA
  14. Gee Brian...I could have got you a pair of does just by hitting the gas and not the brakes in the laneway Wednesday Night! LOL Nice post...family time...what it's really all about. You can buy meat at IGA !
  15. Take everything and try them all. Even when we fished with Lloyd Daume last year we went thru darn near every bait he had.... changing every 10 or 15 minutes to find the colours that would work. All that reeling in and out paid off....for the guys out with him the next day ! LOL A dozen hogs in the boat before noon....and it wasn't that pink fairy tail Dr. Death that was workin. Something a little more natural... anything that was close to perch colour, but it will change of course based on light penetration and who knows what else that sets them off. We ran cranks on the planner lines and williams spoons on the down riggers last year..success on both. This year I have a whole box of Linquist Brother Cisco spoons to try in every colour they make.
  16. Glad Doug wasn't doin nothing today and got it right up for you Rob. I would have but work got in the way... Thanks to all our soldiers, past, present and future.
  17. Not sure Emil....never looked at my policy. But I know I can go buy another airplane, with a value up to what I already have, and it's automatically coverd for 15 days on my policy without even calling the insurance company. Not sure if anything similar applies on a boat policy. It may be just another one of life's gambles for you!
  18. HAHAHA.. you've seen that too aye Brian ! LOL Never met him..just heard the stories.
  19. Found this while browsing MNR for shore allowance issues on my property http://publicdocs.mnr.gov.on.ca/view.asp?D...achment_ID=7508
  20. I sawed it beside a boat...a month ago on the Larry! Had to raise this one back to the forefront eh Ronnie! LOL
