  1. Hey... I can make ya piss your pants and puke in a bag as well ! Just in slow motion compared to that stuff... LOL
  2. Nice stuff Cliff !
  3. ? Peeing on Glen's foot?
  4. "Leaning".... I think I'd take the "typing" of a rod builder, especially Spiel, verbatim if I was you.
  5. LOL ! That the best pic you could find Cap'n Dan ? ..and yah had to be there to get your $1.27 worth !
  6. I left for the Picton at 7:30 am on Thursday and tried to time it so Terry and I hit there at the same time. Dano was stuck on a job site and would join us later that night. It’s tricky with one pulling a boat, the other not, but Terry got there..walked up the hill to the office and I pulled in just as he did so at 11:45. We were on the water and trolling the reach by 1PM. Doesn’t he look really sad out fishing on a Thursday afternoon?! Lol There was no shortage of those damn suspended fish out there…but they weren’t hungry! We got skunked on Thursday and came back for supper, went out to yak with some lads up in the motel unit and then found a nice blaze that Glen had started. We actually thought our cottage was on fire at first…but no.. just Glen with a ‘bama wood pile fire. Headhunter left home about 3:30am so he could join us in the boat for 7am….and he was more than on time. Found him wandering around outside about 6:30…peeking in the windows itchin to get on the water! Off we went..and we trolled and we trolled. Joe/Dano and Terry drivin. Another shot…Joe, Dano and Terry pointing where he wants to troll next! LOL Long after lunch Dano finally gets one on in front of the Cement factory across from Merland. Right after that he also caught a nice size pike…but my camera was on the fritz…we got a shot on Dan’s camera so he’ll add that I’m sure. Saturday we were again up bright and squirrly… a nice Shimano sunrise! And a scenery shot Not much goin on…so time for the three amigo pose! Saturday we got the big skunkaru and came back to have supper, bon-fire and watch a hockey game + some of the pot luck festivities. Here’s Joey selling beer for $5 each ! Dan showing the only safe way to get to your boat in the morning at Merland. A little no slip tape would go a long way to save them from lawsuit one day on those damn plastic “Jetdock” systems. Sunday we hit the water once again and Terry wanted to leave at noon…so about 11am of course he had to catch a nice 30” x 14lb SHEEPSHEAD. Gave him a good fight…pulled lead core off like crazy…stunk like hell and my boat is still a slim mess from that baby. Such a big fish..with no gill flaps to get a hold of. Funny though that fishing was so slow that I was being asked for bait colour and distance back by someone on the VHF…just so he could get a customer a fish! LOL More action shots…or non-action shots. Trolling…trolling and more trolling…nadda! The Glenora Ferry missed us again! Almost got our planner boards one day. Sunday evening…sunset 4:40…fish on 4:42 (thanks Dan for letting me take your rod…dang that didn’t sound right) 25” and a bit. Not sure if this was a migratory or resident fish. Dano with another at 4:45 Time to get Dano back to his girlfriend! Dano and I stayed over to fish Monday. Very little boat traffic…those stacked fish out on the reach had disappeared/dispersed and he managed to pick up one little eater size fish, that we of course released to grow for another day. We loaded up the boat and had it ready to trailer by about 3:30. Home in the pouring rain by 8PM Monday night. And other than that….what happened at Quinte…stays at Quinte!
  7. POOR QC and part availablity from Lowrance.. 50/200 HZ Transducer that didn't read water temp and had to be replaced with a new one (took over a month to get thru Lund). 102C that's screen froze constantly or showed 500 feet deep in 15 feet and had to be sent back for replacement Took until the 2nd week in September to get the last network connector from Lowrance..thanks to them closing up the Mississauga warantee center and dropping Bay Distributors as a parts dealer. Speed sensor from Lowrance is junk... reads 2 mph at 5 actual and then reads 60 MPH at 40 actual. Fuel flow sensor is about as good ! Traxstech (Pursuit) gunnel tracks are the cats for quick change ups for any fishing outing...from Muskie to BOQ planner mast /down rigger style fishing. Really lovin those. ...and don't get me started about Lund's QC !
  8. Not sure if Kirk could find a good lawyer to represent him though.... You can't legislate parenting...if you could we'd go back to neutering the less brilliant and you know...that' not a bad dang idea. Start with Britney ! As for the smoking gig... I don't have the energy for all I could type.. lets just say my wife has never smoked, but her parents did heavily. Wife was told 10 years ago (when she was 32) she had the lungs of a 95 year old women that smoked 5 packs a day for her entire life.
  9. Ahhh .. that's just TJ's pet pike in Uncle Buck's aquarium !
  10. Peter is looking for boat mates for the Niagara and wants to fish both sides!!!
  11. Come on Terry...what you talking about..you got a 14lb x 30" FISH ! lol Good to see ya again Glen!
  12. Ahhhh..the wall of empties ! To be that age again...and scrambling to find someone with a truck.... because the parents just surprised you and are only 30 minutes away after visting some friend you never knew they had!
  13. Have a great day guys! If ya had of told me I would have, got someone to, bake you a cake!
  14. I work 16 or more hours a day all winter...so I can fish ALL summer. "Summer" starting the week after the ice comes off Lake Temagami and that's when the fishing starts!....other than a few ice fishing outings that are new to my winters.
  15. Dar's no fish in the sound.....
  16. Ah... you guys just need a longer trailer ... I had no issues putting mine back on the trailer today..where as the Berkley Rod rep damn near washed his truck this morning launching his....with his windshield missing I might add! Someone broke it while it was parked up beside Lavers workshop over the weekend. I did have issues with the launch not being wide enough and the trailer tires inner sidewalls getting scored on the cement edge though. And Corey...you say those were mouse turds... DANG... I thought it was chocolate hail and I put it on Dano's toast yesterday for Breakfast! LOL
  17. Great yaking with ya Lloyd on the radio and I told you Waterwolf ! If Lloyd can't put 'em in the boat...it just ain't the day! According to Moon Phases etc...it was the worst week to be fishing for the entire year. They were finally starting to show full hooks on the finder... for moving/feeding fish.... late yesterday...and a bit today before Dan and I left the water at 2:15. Those fish that were stacked out on the reach over the weekend where dispersed today...still not biting though.
  18. Thanks Don! You too..and see you there. Terry and I hope to get an afternoon in tomorrow..in the rain it looks and 25K out of the West.
  19. ...remember to turn out the lights !! See you at BOQ !
  20. Dear Mr. Minister, I'm in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this. How is it that Radio Shack has my address and telephone number and knows that I bought a t.v. cable from them back in 1997, and yet, the Federal Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date. For crying out loud, do you guys do this by hand? My birthdate you have on my social insurance card, and it is on all the income tax forms I've filed for the past 30 years. It is on my health insurance card, my driver's license, on the last eight bloody passports I've had, on all those stupid customs declaration forms I've had to fill out before being allowed off the planes over the last 30 years, and all those insufferable census forms that are done at election times. Would somebody please take note, once and for all, that my mother's name is Maryann e, my father's name is Robert and I'd be absolutely astounded if that ever changed between now and when I die! poop! I apologize, Mr. Minister. I'm really ticked off this morning. Between you an' me, I've had enough! You send the application to my house, then you ask me for my dang' address. What is going on? You have a gang of Neanderthals workin' there! Look at my damn picture. Do I look like Bin Laden? I don't want to dig up Yasser Arafat, for crying out loud. I just want to go and park my butt on a sandy beach. And would someone please tell me, why would you give a poop whether I plan on visiting a farm in the next 15 days? If I ever got the urge to do something weird to a chicken or a goat, believe you me, I'd sure as hell not want to tell anyone! Well, I have to go now, 'cause I have to go to the other end of the city and get another bloody copy of my birth certificate, to the tune of $60! Would it be so complicated to have all the services in the same spot to assist in the issuance of a new passport the same day? Nooooo, that'd be too easy and maybe make sense. You'd rather have us running all over the dang' place like chickens with our heads cut off, then find some me to confirm that it's really me on the stupid picture - you know, the one where we're not allowed to smile?! Hey, you know why we can't smile? We're totally ticked off! Signed - An Irate Canadian Citizen P.S. Remember what I said above about the picture and getting someone to confirm that it's me? Well, my family has been in this country since 1776 when one of my forefathers took up arms against the Americans. I have served in the military for something over 30 years and have had security clearances up the yingyang. I was aide de camp to the lieutenant governor of our province for ten years and I have been doing volunteer work for the RCMP for about five years. However, I have to get someone 'important' to verify who I am - you know, someone like my doctor WHO WAS BORN AND RAISED IN COMMUNIST CHINA!!!
  21. That might slow the rapist down...not sure though...
  22. Shipping will be stated right on BPS's website when you check out. What it won't show you is the 14% tax at the border and if the radio is made offshore...like it most likely is...there is import duty as well...somewhere between 5 and 8.5%.
  23. Want me to tow you up and down the reach and you just point which way to steer bud?
