For some aerial mission guys Rick... they load their container full in Miami and then send it off to Brazil, where they fly the rainforest trying to convert tribes to their faith. It's their dime... or more like the unknowing "collection plate" donors that pay for all this stuff! -

I'd say $1200 is a heck of a deal, cost me $1900+ to send this crate to Miami.. just part of it's journey on it's way to Brazil. -

Pranksters Introduce Pirhannas to Great Lakes

All I know for sure.. my youngest was fishing for Piranha with raw chicken two days ago and had them for supper to do her part to eradicate them. Of course she was in the rain forest of Peru to do so.... -
Even if you have brand new batteries in the boat (even in the pee bucket with the flashlight) and the useless little flashlight doesn't work.. you get the fine. OPP had a hay day with some of our neighbours last year because they bought the orange pee bucket and threw it in the boat without loading the batteries in the flashlight. Like the thing is ever going to get you home. I hold up my 10 million candle power, blind them showing it works and I always get "is it waterproof?" !

If it's a 4' wide "car topper"... yes it will run great with a light 2 stroke 9.8 / 9.9. Will it be dangerous if you have limited boating experience... quite possibly. Just remember never to turn the engine fully... you can easily flip a 12' car topper with an 8 or larger engine. I've watched my f-in-law do it more than once... That said, it was exactly what I let my then 16 year old daughter use every day to go to work at Temagami shores. A 12' Reynolds car topper with a 9.8 Merc, with the advise never to turn if fully under high power and she never went swimming.

Last time I saw it.. it looked in pretty good condition. Had been set on the grass and was dirty, but the eyeball was still very defined and fresh looking! I hear they're good steaked !

Nice SSquirrel... been looking for a solid '70 for some years. Figure I can tell the wife that the bird and bee got together and popped out a Duster! ;o)

Like I said earlier.. take the 5 minutes and borrow your buddies for a test run, if he lives close anyhow.
-
Just the rpm tells me you have too much prop on the boat. What prop is on your buddies... see if you can borrow it for a run. Old gas / new gas. Doubt this is your issue, unless you can noticeably see your engine is running rough, but good practice is to always top your tank in the spring with fresh (ethanol free) fuel to give the old stuff a boost.

The Ontario summary does not say.... "may not be handled for any other purpose or for taking a picture", Rob. As many know this has been beaten to death here and I am in possession of a letter from the North Bay district CO's and Biologist that they would never consider charging someone for taking a picture of an OOS fish unless they had to haul it somewhere other than the boat to get a picture. The thought behind that, they would also have to fine anyone that was taking pictures of in season fish (and releasing them) and had done so with each fish beyond the daily possession limit.

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending where you sit on the fence, Ontario's regulations are not written that way PK.

It's a few clicks UP from Smiths Falls Rich.. up stream anyhow! Current radar looks more like Land o Lakes and Carleton Place are going to get the HEAVY rain at this point. Right across Moosebunks yard by the looks of it... hang tight Drew!

Keep in mind... the specific gravity of the acid is higher than water, so water wouldn't have replaced the acid. It may however be worth popping the caps and making sure the level is still down at the fill rings before your next outing. If not use a syringe to lower the level.

Probably true, but we laugh at with him all the time!

Enjoy Connie!!! Hope Phil gets in... or you'll have to eat some tree bark for supper!!

I always said that too Bill.. never an issue with my 2003 F150 and the first time I backed the trailer in with my '11 it blew the fuse. With mine I have to wait 'till I'm right down the ramp.. as I have an electric pressure release solenoid on the surge brakes. Throw the maretts away and buy a few GOOD butt connectors with the silicon inside them. Once they're squeezed they're sealed.

They've become the biggest hazard to aviation since the seagull! Illegal to fly within 5 miles of any aerodrome... read Lake.

They work better if you cut 1/2 of each lid off the can and turn them a quarter turn to each other Joe (gets the explosion twirling). Tape them together, make a barrel and away you go. "when we were kids", guess that was last summer as the one I made for Kristal blew a 1" limb off the white pine above the deck.. about 30 feet up. The perfect bullet is a ABS glue can.. the ones with the little brush! lol Hard to find good soup cans that have both ends able to be opened, all them formed bottoms screw all the fun up these days!
