Reid's personal airplane, that I built and maintain, is in my hangar outside the back door here. He had a lot of time in Norseman's/Beech 18's/185's and I have most of his "sunk" airplane pictures to prove it! LOL Here's one of him with a freshly covered Norseman after the covering got burnt off flying in firefighting equipment. Do you know Robert "RJ" White as well ?

Yep... Zone 11 is written for weekend anglers unlike BOQ's. Sunday after the third Saturday... and the problem is it's the entire Zone 11 now not just Lake Temagami. I left my reg print out at the cottage. Guess I'd better go over to CTC today and get a copy, and see what other options there are after the 16th. Malcom's got you covered for Rick's and John's #'s, Ryan. I was going to go up this weekend... and why I asked how many guys... but that seems to have gone in the can on me at this point.

Are you setting your spool gap adjuster so that the bait JUST slowly lowers when you push the release button? Do you have your brake turned up until you get use to it? ... and are you thumbing the spool as the bait is about to hit the water/ground?

There's so many options and so many opinions Mike. If you search this subject has been beaten to death around here.... from back before I was asking what reel to get. The CABO came highly recommended and hasn' t let me down. It's what I had on my "Spiel Special" Loomis while pullin in them monsters..... while casting on the St. Lawrence last fall. You can pick one up off ebay if you're lucky for under $175 and over the counter at JB's and others for about $200/210
