  1. Now if Scott's wife would just take away his caps lock privileges life would be swell ! Some nice fish there fella.!
  2. Nobody is taking our signal... we're beaming our own from four concessions/2 miles away, from a guy that has highspeed cable access. All equipment is ours.
  3. Just to bump this up for those that don't use the "view new posts" icon. Lots of stuff to bid on... from Lures to Northern Get Aways!
  4. Wireless.... Find someone a few miles away that has highspeed and offer to pay their service fees....
  5. Presume a transformer vault. What happens when things start to melt and water goes where it ain't supposed to.
  6. Just looked for the tag off them. Leah bought them for me for Xmas. Funny... looks like I actually threw something out. Have the tag for the Mernino Wool Wigman outer hiking socks..but not the liner socks. The liner socks aren't much thicker than a pair of nylons..suspect they're polypro. Will ask Leah where she bought them..so we can both get a pair.
  7. Terrible when a professional goes out swimming with his fellow sharks and things go wrong. That said... condolences to his family and friends.
  8. Yah... but it shouldn't be $325 (based on your $65) from my family of 5, because others don't have the common sense to not let kids use PWC's... or adults for that matter that can't comprehend that you need POWER to turn the things. The boaters card makes as much sense as me asking you 26 questions on air regs, you getting an 80% pass and me giving you the keys to my airplane. You don't need a new card to regulate the age of PWC and boat drivers. Any photo ID they already own would be better proof when pulled over by the OPP vs a card that has no picture on it and could be their sisters...... or printed on any lazer printer for that matter.
  9. I'd be rewording that before it comes true!!! Nice ride fella !
  10. Don't know Darren... only printed the regs for Zone 11 and keep forgetting to grab a reg book at CTC everytime I'm in there... including 40 minutes ago!
  11. Yah.. but you're barking up the wrong tree.. None of this boaters card money goes to the government, it's all private business with no master record that the government can even xreference that you even have a card.
  12. Darren... I can't even do the pike come ice out. They changed the regs from open year round to matching the pickeral season! DANG!
  13. .... the last report when I went to bed was he had a Cell phone in one hand and a liquor bottle in the other! Guy saw too many movies... where a single shot to a propane tank goes BOOM !
  14. Guess there's about 200 idots at Waubashene tooooo.....
  15. Real question is why did we need it at all. Has nothing to do with HOW to drive a boat.
  16. Strange they don't give you the Sunday. They made Zone 11 the Sunday after the third Saturday of March the end of season.
  17. Good stuff Will... thanks for the report and pics! I learned about socks on Saturday myself. Same boots... same outer sock but my normal cotton daily socks as a first layer vs the thin liner wick sock I wore last week in -31C up North. Had no issues with cold feet up North and my feet were freezing on Simcoe Saturday. The difference being the first layer of sock.
  18. You don't carry a gun or a badge fnf... pick your cell and make the call. I have the local CO's for GBay, Simcoe County and Temagami region in my phone to go direct to them and skip the tips line. They do answer! Anytime you get checked by a CO.. tell him it's great to see him out and ask for his business card.
  19. Thanks for the report Steve... I see the ice is a tad thicker these days!
  20. I guess everyone missed the part about the 14lb fish being DOA ! Keep it or turtle food... I think he made the right decision.
  21. I lived on Cooks Lake/Fairlaine Lake for 2 years when we were one of two that lived there year round on the East side of the lake.... 20 years back. It has bass in it and I was only able to catch those Tuesday to Thursday when none of the yahoos were running around in big boats ruining a spring feed lake on the weekend. Should be a canoe only lake. Now the lake is pretty much full time residents all the way around it, not sure what the fishings like now. Probably some trout in there as well, but not sure. I only caught bass and could do so daily... during the week. Little Lake in Midland is a no motor (or 10hp and under.. not sure) lake and is full of bass. Orr Lake is full of hammerhandle pike and I'd suspect bass.
  22. You'd get more replies in the general discussion area......
