Every lake in Zone 11... except the stocked lakes in the exemptions.. only have a Feb 15 to Mar 15 Laker season now in the winter. Based on last years info... it's sure kicked what was left out of the near north winter economy.
You should be able to get a map at Gramps at Angus Lake... just a bit up the road from JCaribou. If he doesn't have it you can scoot into Temagami to Dad's.. Jim has it. I have one... but it's in the dining room hutch drawer at the lake unfortunately. You can buy it from http://www.adventurefishingmaps.on.ca/no1.htm
You may as well have Billy Bob... Economist and financial consultants have me 41 % in the hole right now.... I should have called lundboy and rolled the dice instead.
That's why many projects are being delayed and put aside in the tar sands. It's cheaper to bring it up a hole in the ground than to process that black dirt...and I believe the layoffs are already in process from the tar sands.
You just need to make a holder that will keep the transducer straight in the hole. I'll look for the pics of what I made for my 102C. It works great up to about 40 FOW.. then loses some signal using the boat transducer. Picked up a ice fishing trans for this year... but the boat one has never had any issues picking up bottom in even 150 FOW.. just loses sensitivity for fish returns.
I'd think Barnard would be full of them... stop at the tackle shop at the lights and get them to point you in the right direction.
Safe ice would be the first step though... it ain't there now.
Remember that Lakers will be closed...
..and like solo said I've been told it's a tough lake. I'll dig through my aerial shots... think I have a pictures of some or most of it. Might help pic out shoals.
Safe ice is also going to be a factor for early January. Just off the phone with a bud in Temagami... 2 inches of ice... 2 FEET of snow !
Down.... and must be fully down and tilted in towards the boat a tad.. allows the hub/prop shaft area to drain. Leaving it up allows water to collect in there and when it freezes it can bust. That said... EVERY boat in the racks at the marina has the unit tilted up and a garbage bag over the prop.
If you are storing inside... as long as you've drained it fully first.. you can store it any way you like.
They're all coming back for another round of money holdfast..... Fleetwood Mac is doing a new tour as well. Toronto date is Mar 26th I believe.. tickets go on sale Feb 15th. Elton John and Bill Joel doing another joint tour...
That's why I was saying it's not Carpal Tunnel Dan.... Carpal Tunnel is wrist nerves.. only effects thumb index and middle fingers. Not baby finger.
I've have extreme hand/lower arm/elbow issues thanks to over a decade of drilling/riveting. Found most of it was a "ball of knots" in my elbow region... that I get massaged by the local Reflexoligist from time to time to keep the pain to a minimum. Numbness and hands falling asleep is generally bad blood flow... also corrected by massage or Active Release Therapy.
