  1. Application fee is only $100 in Canada.. but you have to pay yearly maintenance fees to keep the concept active.. miss the payment and your patent is void and not revivable. A patent agent or lawyer is going to add, at minimum $4000 to the equation... more than likely $7500. Defending the patent if some big corp decides to copy it anyhow... out of most peoples price range... and I'm speaking for experience there. I own all the patents for Enviroseal electrical boxes (plastic box, foam seals for wire push thru and snap over vapour barrier wall board sealing ring). Thomas and Betts copied them and flooded the market with their product, already having ins with CTC / HH / HD / Ideal / Westburne etc, and not much we could do to defend it. Trying the royalty idea is a gamble ,, big gamble,, that requires some real finese to not get taken for the idea. As HG points out... a real good spot to send your idea to yourself registered mail and never open it... in fact send it Registered mail to your lawyer as well and instruct them to do the same.
  2. I wouldn't raz them too hard... it's named after an officer that was shot in the back of the head in a Penetang bar... by the chairman of the policing commission. Bruce was a little embarassed and a tad hard to give you a hard time if you can't get out of your boat ! No sermon... because we both had sport licenses!
  3. Another trip of friends in the history books !!! Good to see some fish in that shiny ProV !
  4. LOL Paul ! I still think I'm one up on Lew for GBay ... the pike love him out there !
  5. Nice shot of my feet bud!!! Anyone hear an engine running??? @ 4500 RPM...
  6. Lots of work to get done around here .. but late last night I decided it could wait and told Terry to be here for 9am ! While I have put Muskie in my boat, on GBay, for guests... I'd yet to stick one on the end of my own line, until today. No new world record... but it's a Georgian Bay Muskie for me none the less. So now that the curse is lifted I can move onto bigger and better ones (well I sure hope so anyhow!) 37" without a pinch and clean as a whistle. Back swimming the depths. Funny for the day was having the OPP boat the HMS Tom Coffin pull up on us in a back bay.. and Bruce Ward the CO asking us to show him our fishing licences through the screen in the window.. while the OPP officer was on his hands and knees trying to get their sliding door open. They couldn't get out of the cabin to do a full safety inspection!
  7. Nice big doe standing in the middle of the runway this morning Brian... Terry can even confirm I'm not messin with ya ! lol

  13. Reality is... Betty's retractable leash jammed !!!!
  14. As good as Pammy today on TV.. "save the animals"..... now watch my guaranteed safe, tested on animals inplants jiggle...
  15. Pike = food... we fish for it for 3 hours. The rest of the time is spent hunting other creatures of the depths. As for a date... not sure whom Roy is going to tell to pick it this round...
  16. Did you see my September in Temagami Post?? Everyone of the pictures with Lloyd or myself in it was taken with my Canon A570 inside it's moulded specific waterproof case. The case has buttons and levers for every function on the camera and works slick. The only draw back is the odd hazy pic from a water drop.. .. and a little more prone to sun angles reflecting off the extra clear lense of the case. Case cost more than the camera though...
  17. Yes the Verado is supposed to have a dedicated starter battery and it should be an AGM battery. When it comes right down to it you're not supposed to have accessories hooked up to it at all.. and I have them all hooked to the kickers battery. The kicker has it's own battery and the Verado charges both batteries thru an isolator. When the kicker is running it only charges it's own battery... but if you leave the power steering hooked up the kicker alternator can't keep up. Has about 5 hours before you're behind the power curve and the Lowrance shuts down going thru 10.7 volts. I just leave the power steering wires from the kicker unhooked. Not that hard to steer at a couple MPH.
  18. No.. she'd be a WAY off because she sold it for what you told her you paid for it !
  19. Yep... that's what it's designed for. Wish I had a three bank in mine to charge my kicker motor battery... it gets run down if I leave the power steering hooked up when trolling slow on the kicker. Draw is more than alternator feed....one of Merc/lunds major brain farts just to offer an option. So ya just hook up all three batteries for the trolling motor to each bank of the charger. You could still leave lines to the cranking as well and put a DPDT (double pole double throw) toggle switch on them. That way if you did get a low starter you could throw the switch.. plug in the charger and you'd be back to doing what you use to... and once you get green lights throw the toggle and charge that last battery for the trolling motor.
  20. It was designed for deep cycles in the first place... not a cranking, so won't be an issue. I'm having issues with mine from time to time.. one bank doesn't want to click off to green light standby at times and boils a battery with it staying on a single red light. Not a battery issue.. I've switched leads. Ever have this happen with yours??
  21. Yep... you're gonna be disappointed Fish Farmer... they're only this big right now.. Maybe they'll grow before Saturday! lol
