  1. You are not going to convert that thing for three grand Brad. The fridge in my Southwind cost $3200 !.. add a heater.. bathroom.. tanks.. genny.. I've done some narly roads with it Brad... gravel from Wawa to Timmins. Into Fushimi yearly on that dust bowl road... Has pretty good ground clearance. Give thought to what you are going to put into the bus...and total it all up. Then come see me and mine and make me a serious offer.
  2. You have the choice at check out of UPS.. USPS.. and other choices. If you want a quote for postage before commiting.. you can click that icon too. Considering 6 jackets cost what my one Mustang did a couple years back... I'm not too worried about the postage rate to insure my kids and friends have these on during their next canoeing adventure...
  3. I think my younger daughter has the landlords and tenant act memorized, inside and out, thanks to her current situation in Ottawa... but she's a tad busy in her final term at Carleton to help anyone but herself. If you want send me a PM about what your situation is and I'll see if she has up to date insight into it.
  4. You can drive any motorhome with a G licence.. only gray area may be one with air brakes.. but I don't even think that is an issue. Trucks pulling trailers over the exempt recreational GVWR are getting nailed for an A as mbosh points out. Why go thru all the expense Brad to convert that ugly thing...... just come buy my 34' x 1983 Southwind and be done with it!
  5. So the prop is off and you saw it come out from the shaft seal? I rivet aluminum Albert.. ..
  6. $10 seal and a welder Albert.. why spend more than that on a 25 year old engine? Other option is skeg guard kit that just bolts on to what is left... but anyone good with a TIG can put a piece of aluminium on the end of that thing for you. Are you also certain it's coming out the prop shaft.. and not fogging oil coming out the exhaust??
  7. I always have the CCG approved cheapies in the boat.. so that would cover it.. BUT a have heard they are going to mandate wearing a PFD very shortly.. and they would have to be Canadian approved if worn. I already ordered 6 Rick ! lol (for basically the price of the one Mustang that I use in the airplane) Interesting to note... if you go to Helly Hansen's website.. the US site shows this model.. the Canadian site doesn't and has no auto inflaters.. telling me they couldn't get CCG approval on them, but got USCG and sold to the bigger market. Either way...may actually get the "canoe" gang that frequents our place to wear these puppies!...while they sit on the other ones!
  8. "USCG approved"... don't we need Canadian Coast Guard approved up here to pass inspection?? Wonder what the label has on it...
  9. At least they stopped using the heated wire cure before your time ! !
  10. DANG.. I guess the little birdy lied to me...
  11. Yep.. maybe they got their man.. but then again if they only needed a vet the farmer better find some new hunters!
  12. Gee... if you're gonna do it.. do it right.. lol
  13. Yep.. she is a sweetheart Spiel !!
  14. You're a day late on that answer Billy Bob ! lol
  15. Actually... as I recall...in days gone by... those using the success of the board, to sell their wares, where run off faster than crap through a goose. Correct me if I'm wrong.. but just ask poor ol' Fishmaster how many times he was tossed the spam billboard in years gone by. Now it seems nobody really cares and the board is fair game to any enterprise to gain clients from... from lodges with empty reservation lists to guys with sponsor funded/discounted items preselling their good fortune (to be sure they can afford said sponsors invoice come seasons end).
  16. Got that part and I stand corrected, thanks... "muscular powered" applies to vehicles.. not boats.. so I guess no shooting the 303 from your bicycle! lol
  17. New to me Archie. When I did my stuff any vehicle/vessel was out of bounds unless hunting water fowl. Regs still state: Snowmobiles, vehicles or boats may not be used for chasing, pursuing, harassing, capturing, killing, injuring or destroying any wildlife.. and the definition of a boat according to the OMNR hunting regs is any power boat... be it motor powered or muscular powered. I have an open mind.. if you can point me to the reg stating shooting from a canoe is okay...
  18. You mean moving place to place in the canoe and then hunting moose correct?
  19. He's jumping..or should I say skipping... the wait line... ..? procedure wasn't offered at home.. so USA is fair game, and may very well be paid for by OHIP... nobodies talking on that one. Happens out west a lot. Gals are going across into the Northern states to have their babies even.
  20. He wants to live... and claim it on his expense report Dawg !
  21. Same old.. same old.. it's back ! At least I watched it while I worked... and posted.. and.. I guess I didn't get much done..
  22. I had no problems with mine last Sunday.. enough snow out there to keep the track lubed.
  23. Based on last week... stop short of the masses at Fox and try the wide open first!
