  1. Yep you could boat right thru the store in a Cracker Lew!
  2. $1000 fine + any firefighting response costs!
  3. Well I'd sure hope we get some rain by August Lunatic.. but who knows! NBR... I haven't made it there yet and looks like end of June before I can. Buried here in work.. Reports are the lake is still over 2 FEET lower than FALL drainage condition... ie.. my airplane docks are sitting on the bottom!
  4. In case you missed it in the "what are you doing this long weekend".. Just an FYI for those heading North ! Leave the matches at home... you can't have an open/camp fire. .. there is a TOTAL fire ban for everything in the Northeast section of Ontario. Looks like it's from about Powassan up.. I haven't looked at it in detail as it won't effect me.. http://forest.lrc.gov.on.ca/AFFM/fire/interactivemap/RFZ/map.html
  5. TJ... 400.. off at Black Creek Drive. Follow it all the way down and when you go under the railway bridge you/and all traffic flow basically is turning left. I can't remember what friggin street it is.. follow it for a mile or so (and it runs East) past the leather factory etc and then the road bends/ turns South again and goes right down along the east side of High Park right to Lakeshore. Hang a left onto Lakeshore... I've done all the routes for over 30 years and that is the fastest to Ontario Place/Air Canada centre/Front St.

  7. OMG one $5 CTC 200 lb rated ratchet strap and a piece of twine... Sure wouldn't wanna follow behind you.. As good as the utility trailer I followed very shortly today.. that had about 2 dozen 16 foot 2 x 6's up on a 45* angle over the loading gate, like a huge nascar wing. He hit about 70 KPH and it lifted the tongue and the rear axle of his FWD van off the ground from the down force.. .. and thankfully there was nobody coming the other way as I weaved around him with my 34 ' deck trailer with an airplane on..
  8. Sister in law will rent you a 16' boat and a 9.9 for an entire day for $80 ! You'll have to drive to Manitoulin though..
  9. Looks great Lew! You got Natural gas way out there in the booooonneys??? (or is that propane..)
  10. TTBOMK.. there is nothing in the bay.. but maybe Caswells Beach will let you put in. I haven't been there in a couple decades. Leah lived on SBay as a little kid.... and her Dad kept the place into the 80's. Daryl was conceived on that property..... lol As far as I know there is still a public launch in Victoria Harbour though.. it's just a couple rock piles around the corner... I will also add that Leahs' father faught the sewer plant in the courts and unfortunately lost.. it went in anyhow. Pump treated/untreated sewage into a bay, that at it's deepest spot is 8 feet. You USE to be able to water ski in Sturgeon Bay... now you can't even troll thru it thanks to the Phosperous and weed choke!
  11. They sell for $55 new Roy... and the most I've ever paid is $23 on Ebay. I have 11 of them and use them for riggin for lakers.
  12. DANG.. and I thought you'd be a duct tape kinda guy solo....
  13. Electrics are great, especially on structured lakes when you see your depth jump from 140 to 30 FOW! That said when it comes right down to it I still actually prefer my manuals when it comes to making small depth changes.
  14. Is this the pump.. http://www.sschapterpsa.com/ramblings/Rebuilding_fuelpump.htm
  15. Only guy I know that can precison fillet a 10" brookie with a 22 " knife !!
  16. Great stuff Roy!!!! Told you that you'd have a good time... how can't you with that NUT!
  17. Not everyone wants to sit in the bow and run their electric all day. Motorquide 75 wireless for me... Run it from anywhere in the boat with pedal or key fob. I down rig using mine..
  18. Jordan's growing like a weed Emil ! Great stuff... but too boat crowded fishing grounds for me! Chuck.. your barber called! lol
  19. LMAO !! I'd fit this year for sure...
  20. Gonna be a great year for marine repair facilities and a bad year for insurance claims... that's for sure!
  21. ..and speaking of them wild strawberries.. they've already started in our yard! A month ahead of schedule !
  22. How old are they Mike? Reason I ask... tried them (gell cell) in a customers airplane at his request. He got 3 years out of the first one.. and 2 out of the second before we went back to typical wet cell. Same company's battery (Gill) but in a typical wet cell, same size, I got 9 years out of my first one in my airplane.. and to be safe (considering the back lakes I'm visiting) I just pulled mine again with 6 years on it and stuck it in a need worthy Lawn Tractor and installed a new one in the airplane.
  23. ..oh.. but what about that "spiral wound technology"..
