  1. Walter was our neighbour at the lake... kept the road plowed to our dock etc in the winter, and an all around great PACK RAT... that passed away a year ago Christmas from Cancer floating around in his blood. His wife is having an auction on June 19th of his collection. I've never seen it to know if it was good stuff or junk, but if you are in the area and have a thing for machinery, I'd be there! Thanks, Wayne Scan 001.pdf
  2. Another honest fisherman... we need more like ya Dan !
  3. Dang.. that was just room and board canadadude... thinking of billing my 27 year old son for similar! Hooper was one of my all time favourite actors. Coleman, well..
  4. I only need 30 feet. 2 inches.. and a bit of wiggle room! lol
  5. With the water down, Brian, I can get under it if I don't bounce!!
  6. Well Roy.. you know where I'm still stuck ! Recession my ass... MIGHT drop in from the sky if we can s'wing it..
  7. I'm really curious as to if the lake is actually low... as the Otonabee is up to the top of the banks, as of Wednesday anyhow!
  8. Was just gonna say.. to just name Kodak is rediculous Bruce! Everyone did it, even a company my F-in-law was hired to run in Richmond Hill. Canada Barrel Refurbishing. He, unfortunately, had been hired as the GM to be the scape goat.... as the company owners knew that they had been caught by the MOE and wanted a "fall guy". After many years of coming into businesses and putting them "in the black" (Leah had lived in 19 places by the time we were married at 18 yrs old) that was enough to "burn out" my father in law and he went from there to buying a campground!
  9. THANKS for sharing Hauki!!!
  10. I have never fished it nor can confirm that there are fish there... but Darren takes the same lads in year after year so there's gotta be something there that they go back for! Enjoy your ride in the Beaver !!
  11. Scary part is it's only get worse as the summer crowd starts making their way North to recreat.. We lit the runway on fire today from a simple aircraft exhaust backfire...
  12. I just miss the days in the valley.. when we'd take all our Ontario empties over to Hull and double our money....
  13. I know there are perch in 6 mile..
  14. They'll be nested in a wall somewhere until you find them, spray the crap out of them with poison and dig/vacuum it out. I remember the shower of white eggs on my head all too well when pulling the living room apart at the lake... Amazing how far they will go into structure to nest. I found them in an interior wall.. close to the ceiling.. 10 feet from an outside wall.
  15. Thistle is reported as 4 feet or more low Gerry.. and came up a bit last week. Can't see Red Cedar being much different. Temagami is still about 2 feet lower than usual FALL let down level.
  16. Did ya move that rock that broke my trailer light Kevin?? lol As for campfires... Sister-in-law looked into that when I warned her for her place on Manitoulin... and as long as you do regular rounds, have two way communications with the office while doing said round and know where the fire fighting equipment is you can allow it in the grounds. Check with the MNR... Heck.. here's the link and the rules the campground owner is to post and follow.. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/AFFM/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_165456.html

Shouldn't you be at camp or sumptin...
  18. Choke stuck partial on... prop too coarse? What is the engine?? I had a 5 evinrude that ran like that at times and it turned out to be the coil..
  19. Charleston Lake is near Portland/Delta.. 1/2 way between Kingston and Smiths Falls. Can't help with the question though.. haven't been there since high school when we use to group camp the PPark.
  20. Exactly what I was gettin at Jon as I have a whole drawer of them at the lake! Failing that.. buy the 50,000 topo for the area.
  21. A GREAT day fella ! Keep enjoying them..
  22. DANG... she brought home Wiley Coyote...
  23. A "hint" to generally location might be a lot of help... to get help on this!
  24. Terrible for sure and condolences to all involved. But considering the lack of any required gear in the canoe.. mandating "XYZ" wouldn't change anything.
