  1. Your old pal is getting a little Grahahahy Joe. Hope you gave him a special treat today !
  2. I still stick knives in toasters to reposition my english muffins each morning... so I guess we all look at "educated risk" a tad differently...
  3. I was told the new owner of Obabika lodge was only interested in running the lodge for now and wasn't doing any back lakes. Told this when I asked someone about Lodge boats I've found on back lakes and whether I could buy or use them. Told to just use them... he had no idea where they even were...
  4. I don't see anywhere where it says it is.. but is this for Obabika Lodge Randy??? Maybe I can help him find his back lake boats....
  5. Most likely won't get North much anyhow Brian with what's going on here. Not sure I have time for any of that mess either... Talked to my buddy Clair at least at 2am.. he and his wife are fine. They're going back this morning to try and find some of their stuff. Their motorhome and trailer are still driveable.

  7. Many probably have some insurance on them.. but that doesn't replace them or the personal attachment most of these have, since they were generally built by a guy in his garage/basement/living room. The vendor area was hit the hardest and most of them can't afford a loss like this. It's also a very regular occurance that the aircraft in the "booths" don't belong to the kit manufacturer, but are private individuals "art" that they are willing to put in the kit manufactures booth to help them sell their goods. I've at least hooked up one of my friends with a ride home from Florida, to save him a few dollars that will hopefully help cover boxing and shipping his mess, as my f-in-law is leaving his Coral Cove residence for Ontario this weekend and is making room for him in the truck.
  8. Great stuff as usual my friend!!! Now if we could have just added some Temagami pics it would be mint! LOL
  9. It really does and I'm handcuffed sitting here unable to leave with my recovery trailer to help them.
  10. You can google it...Sun n Fun Tornado... but the video I've linked here starts on my Buddy Clair's CLAMAR float booth.. or what's left of it. Still trying to contact him to see if he and his 68 year old wife are okay. The booth across from him is Air Cam with all their equipment destroyed and his floats high in the air under one of them . Zenair (from Midland Ontario) lost their entire display and all their airplanes as did a few of my Supercub buddies. both display booths and private aircraft. They saved a few aircraft with numerous people holding down a single airplane. Makes me ill just looking at it all...
  11. Someone should put some scratches in them thar baits for him Gord! !!
  12. Baaaaaaaaaaaaa Yep.. the same TSSA that made Lakeland Airways tear down their hangar, that's been there since 1976, as it was 5 feet to close too their fuel tanks by todays regulations!
  13. You won't get away with parking the boat outside most likely. By-law restriction and anything bolted down will be stolen. House.. $ based on one wage earner or you're fooling yourself.
  14. So sorry on the loss of your Mother Albert... as I said many weeks ago... she's proud of her family and you can take great comfort in that fact alone. All the best to you and yours... cherish the memories my friend..she'll always be with you at Sunday diner! Wayne
  15. I'd swing over and chat with ya honey, but my wife's looking over my shoulder! Reality... I tried from here last time we were in the city and Jen's modem is too slow.
  16. It's a GREAT meal if you WERE constipated though Billy Bob !!
  17. Maybe I can get a 2 for 1 deal, with the psychiatrist, for you lads...
  18. What I always thought as well... but it's not true. Daughter (Jen) totalled the rear of a Honda CRV and the entire front of my '98 GMC on the main drag in Collingwood one night after skiing Blue. Damn spare tire carriers on those CRV's or it would have been simple bumper damage and not $5300 in aftermarket parts going on my truck. Guy she "rear ended" was in the left lane.. she was in the curb lane and he decided to turn right into the gas station just after he passed her front bumper.. then slammed on the brakes and she tagged him right into the station. Office that responded charged him with improper lane change and also went to court with Jennifer when the guys father had him try to beat the charge. Rare... but they get it right from time to time.
  19. Took a lot of hoop jumping to get Transport Canada medical examiners to allow him to fly. But since they did.... simply based on the fact TC gave him an aviation medical I can't imagine the provincial authorities could stop him from driving. He has to stay sharp to spot land, that's for sure, but he stays on it and lands on his own tree surrounded VERY short airstrip. I won't even land there.. it's that short.
  20. LOL Rick.. what were our ancestors thinking when they did that damn "son of" apostrophe... Hopefully your never there, nor have to put up with it.. but Jen's a daily nightmare. Scans in TGeneral her name has the apostrophe.. Sinai has her with NO apostrophe.. OHIP card has one. They misplace her files/scans on a per visit bases because of that darn "tick".
