  1. This should be a long thread!! Unless you are pounding the great lakes day after day... I'd never go back to a fiberglass boat.
  2. Almost a 1000 votes behind and now in third place... either no support here or an awful lot on the other towns. Money won't go to waste in Temagami.. at least we already have a hatchery in place with folks ready and willing to put the funds to good use!!
  3. Thanks for sharing Simon!!!! Hoping someone made mine an Angel Cake!
  4. One thing I learned from my flying buddies in Alaska.. if you're gonna camp with the Grizzlies... electric fence and piss entirely around your camp perimeter... and sleep with a Glock in your hand! Black beers... don't lose any sleep over them..
  5. Not trying to scare you off lad... just making sure you know it needs to be addressed shortly after purchase. Not a big deal to repair with the correct tools and a place to work.
  6. Yep.. Dave's got it. Moisture will actually go completely thru the porisity of aluminum. Had a customer that thought it would be smart to glue cork to the inside of his airframe to dampen/stop noise... and shortly there after we had paint bubbling off the puppy!
  7. Sounds like fun.. but I'll be getting my "beautiful Lund" ready for Leah to tow North!! Someone's gonna have fun.. tomorrow looks like a BEAUTY day !
  8. The "source" would be the fact the boat got scratched and the salt water / battery acid / who knows what started the filiform corrosion process. An anode isn't gonna fix anything... hard work will though.
  9. I'd be VERY concerned about the corrosion. It's not a paint issue, nor will it be "down to bare metal". There will be no "metal" there soon.... as it's actually the aluminum itself corroding and bubbling the paint off. It needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY upon purchase by removing all the paint.. cleaning prepping and conversion coating the area before repainting.
  10. Happy Birthday to my twin brother from another Mother!
  11. THANKS Tyler!!! Will keep my forum blood flowing until I return in October!!!!
  12. No fish in Temagami.. but we keep the beer COLD ! (and yah Dan.. we can put you up.. don't be spending $150 a night for Temagagmi Shores.)
  13. Worn on the out sides only... you are running them under inflated!! Simple as that...
  14. But they say she's "living on the streets" Bruce! That's not right... lol Good for her!
  15. A modest man who's efforts allowed him to lead a comfortable life! One of a kind in the industry...
  16. NOPE.. right in the santuary where they spawn!
  17. Hey Wire... if you had any idea as to what Rob has been thru in the last 5 years, or so, you'd offer to put him up in your boat and show him your favourite spot!
  18. LOL... my first stop on arrival.. to make sure that CNC router is screaming and them rivet guns are hammering!
  19. Keep voting.. 4 times a day... I'm gonna see that when we win if I can get "patrol boat" gas money ...
  20. Without a cheap plastic battery box surrounding it.. you are taking the chance of battery acid eating your craft!
  21. Exactly Paul! I can't believe that this post is still going... if anyone else had started it it wouldn't be. Sorry, but that's a fact. I can quickly find you a few "white men" on Lake Temagami that are more detrimental to the stock than any "poacher" you might find on any given lake. The guys preaching C & R.... you're quite possibly killing more fish than many of these folks you have issue with.
  22. Better the weed snags up there than on the bait .. no?
  23. So which is it Obviously fishing for.. or actually catching them.. the story has now changed!
