..hmmm he's probably caught more "incidental" 'skis than most here on this forum have ever caught targeting them in their lifetime. I know where Terry is coming from, maybe I can read between the lines better than most.

Kaput... are they past the trade deadline! What's wrong with them? Probably cheaper for a refurb than new...

I lower them with the clutch too Emil. Did it with the manuals... why wouldn't I do it with the electrics. Just so much quicker and slicker. Maybe I'd better order some spares....

Anyone have experience in a travel power transformer
irishfield replied to Bondar's topic in General Discussion
I've been travelling to the Carib and places beyond since 1989. Have always had a voltage conversion kit with me and the only place I ever used anything was in St. Marteen in 1990.. being a plug converter and even then my battery charger was good to go on 220 volts for my JVC video camera. -

Most chargers these days do it automatically... have a look at your units. Also send your resort an email.. most facilities.. even though the power of choice is 220 have the rooms wired with conventional 110 plugs... and if not all at least the shaver plug in the bathroom with be transformered to 110. -
Billionaire US Citizen blocking access to public lakes

It's amazing how cheap some can be bought as well. All it takes is a private boat dock on some lakes... -
Billionaire US Citizen blocking access to public lakes

Thanks for that Peter!! Always a why him not me world it seems. My mother grew up on the West shore of Glamour Lake (Little Bear in her days), inlet dam to outlet dam. Her Uncle paid for that land with what little he had and also paid someone to build them a home cira 1900 or so. After a few days of walking, from where they were dropped from the train and a horse carrying their gear, they arrived to find that the guy that they paid to build a home had squandered the money and they arrived to find a hand dug footing.. nothing more.. in NOVEMBER. They survived in a make shift lean too and hand sawed all the boards to get a house started before they froze to death as winter was setting in. A couple decades later with my Grandmother and Grandfather living there, My mother was born in 1926. Her father left home to find work and never came back during the depression. She became the "father" of the family being the oldest to help Gramma raise her 5 siblings. Time goes on and even when I was a kid and going to Grammas in the summers (late 60's early 70's), there wasn't another single sole on that lake nor a boat that ever passed by to my remembrance. It was ours to play on. Years fly by and the crown sold off the entire East, North and South shores. My Uncle, now 85 years old would like to severe up some of that massive piece of property. Told he can't.. too many people already on the lake! The Government made their money selling off the land, but my uncle isn't allowed to. I suspect the next generation, that the land will be left to, may have some energy to attend OMB. I'm in a similar battle up North.. owing the oldest privately owned parcel of land on a lake (20 years before the first cottage) and told by all the "newbies" there's enough cottages already and I'm not allowed to develop. -
West Arm is sheltered enough for an 8' dory being rowed. Temagami, generally always somewhere that is sheltered enough to fish no matter the wind.. unless it's a SW'r at 60K. I did 8MPH with my 22'r, in those 9 foot swells, on "Canoe Day". Either lake is perfectly fine for that boat.

Sure glad that Bev didn't want to sign in to read this thread and Bernie had Jer send her an email. Been her life's work reintroducing these magnificant birds.. she'd be devistated to read some of this..

Does he have the claim to that section in the first place? Renting your cabin to him.. why not, if he already has the mineral rights to what's under it they still can't move you off the surface rights to your LUP anyhow. You might as well get something out of him for making a POSSIBLE mess out of your yard!

I use to almost fill the '69 Bee's tank for that $2.80 Bill.. with nice red leaded premium! That said.. I always get a good chuckle when there's a 10 minute back up on the CTC pumps at $127.7 and nobody is slowing me down across the street at Zehrs for $127.9 !

Yes.. they're Trumpeters. I use to do the aerial counts for the Wye Marsh earlier on in the program. Spring and fall to see where they were living, what hatched and what survived the summer. If you can get tag numbers the Wye Marsh or Bev Kingdon would be greatful to know where the swans are. You can relay a message to Bev (whom released the first original reintroduction Trumpeter in Ontario) by PM'ing either myself or Bernie. I found out about 3 weeks ago that she is Bernie's cousin... always a small world it seems!

Here's the post.. seems to be the only one Mike hasn't put up.. maybe he's gonna bid himself on it and is keeping it secret! Amazing Getaway for two on Lake Tamagami! Donated by Wayne O'Shea PLEASE NOTE**** THIS ITEM WILL FOLLOW DIFFERENT RULES! BID STARTS AT $450 (as requested by donator) BID INCREMENTS ARE $50 (also requested by donator) ... please read the description below for info : Here’s the perfect chance to donate to a great cause and in return have the opportunity to spend TWO full days and nights at a Lake Temagami Island private retreat, at a mutually agreeable time between mid June and late September. The earlier you pick your dates the better, as our “dance” card is still pretty empty at this point from family and friends for 2012. It won’t be for long though, as the calendar fills up pretty fast and we will have to plan around our daughter’s next sarcoma check up that should be in July. This “package” can be any days of the week…. doesn’t have to be a weekend, but can be. This auction is for TWO people, for TWO days and nights accommodations, with all meals included, and two FULL (8 to 10 hour) days of fishing/touring Lake Temagami aboard a fully equipped 2150 Lund Baron. You choose what you want to do. Down rigging / flat lining for Lake Trout and Pickeral….casting for Pickeral/Bass/Pike in back bays…or we can mix it up, including a scenic tour of the North end of the lake if you so wish. Your call ! Perfect get away for a couple, or we can also accommodate two lads/gals in separate bedrooms if needed. Plan would be for you to arrive late on the chosen day and we’ll pick you up from the local marinas dock to bring you out to our cottage. Settle in, go for a swim, have supper and then watch the sunset. Heck we may even let you use the hot tub! Then TWO full days of fishing and a late day departure on the “third” day. (ie: arrive late Friday.. leave late Sunday) We will be there as well, just to make that clear, but what I am offering is something that is not available from anyone on the lake. Two full days of “charter” fishing, two nights accommodations, with all meals prepared. All you need to bring is your clothes, swimsuit, appropriate outerwear for the weather and your beverages. You can bring your favourite fishing gear, or you can just use mine… your choice. Great fishing right off the dock while you’re waiting for supper. If the winning bidder happens to be a couple and the wife (or husband) doesn’t want to spend all day or both days in a boat, and prefers a bit of sun tanning, canoeing or touring town…that can be arranged as well. While he/she’s doing that, we may find a different mode of transportation to an otherwise un-accessible location….but… no promises due to weather considerations for flying. Only real “house rule” is absolutely no smoking inside the cottage. Minimum bid to start this auction is $450.00 and minimum bid raise increments are $50. Bid High and bid often! Thanks, Wayne -

Come'on folks! Dig deep! Just over an hour to go... and you can still get a few charters that are going for less than the fuel costs! Leah and mines Temagami offering is currently at about what the fuel will cost to run the boat around the lake for two days. On top of that you get accoms, food, use of hot tub and the possibility of a back lake flyin ! What are you waiting for.... -
HAHAHA.. we can't find a white Johnson, in 30 feet of water, just off my dock either ! Some day Doug will learn what a safety chain is...

Could do Temagami. Finlayson PPark. Campsite #11 right across from my dock. There's a path to the comfort station from it and it's out on the point beside the water so you can fish right off your campsite and swim! (shallow on one side.. 30 feet deep on the other)... also out of the path of any roaming bears. Neighbour right off the point LEGALLY rents boats, completely insured. The site doesn't have power, but it is the campground favourite as we see the same people on it weekly every year. If you want it.. better get it booked as soon as the reservation system opens. Note... you get a daily (except Wednesday) 8am wake up call! Darren takes off in the Beaver but I love that alarm clock!!
