Happy New year to you Paul, and your better half -
I for one can only comment on the i phone, and Im very pleased with it. Im no puter guru nor did I care for cell phones at all. I have the iphone 4 3g, its exteremly convenient and easy to use. I do like the fact that i can use my laptop without any cords attached. My other cell is much like a blackberry and I dont really care too much for the screen size and the tiny buttons. To each their own, i like my iphone:thumbsup_anim

Merry Christmass to you Dan, and the fish a the team:santa: -
Merry Christmass Gerrit Thank you for the post you compiled. It is truely hard at this time of year knowing that your loved ones will not be there in person, but they will be there in spirit and in your memories. I have lost my father around 13 yrs ago to brain cancer, a good family man with values, a good heart and passionate about everything he did in life. God bless his soul. Im not sure if this helps but it was told to me and made me feel a little better not that long ago. It was Gods will, and he needs him to help him for our sake. I wish you the best in this holiday season Gerritt and thank you again for your post.

I am so sorry to hear about peanut, there was nothing you can do but to allow peanut to be in a better place. I guess for a few here on the board, and I can say this for myself as well. When it rains, it pours!!!!!!!!! Walk with your chin up high and remember the happier times, no matter how angry one wants to be........... I am still here for a bit, stop by anytime unannounced if you wish Bruce.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Kelvin

I have made my decision, and I do thank everyone for their opinions regardless. That was exactly the opinions I was looking for, godd orbadetc. Well I think its best to get an hds7 or 8, more likely the 7. I have called around and did a slight bit of homework, price wise most place are within 50$ of the average. Now who do I buy one from ? who will beat another ones price by 10%? The best I have come across price wise is 1099$ hds7 insight was in woodstock. Most places were 950 without the chip for a basemodel.

I have heard about about this a few weeks ago, and i knew in the back of my mind it was going to happen eventually. Yes , i have seen the garbage that people have left behind and its disgusting to a tee!!!!!! But,,,,,,,,,,,,, In return they have been like a cult to the general public that use the lake for recreational purposes. Harassement wise!!!! I can say this and will, only because it has happened to me personally , the harrassement on more than one occassion. Example #1 Canoeing across from the restaurant to the island, many spotters around for the instructors. I cross the area and all i see is a boat going 40mph headed right for me Example #2 An early monday spring morning out in the canoe again, some local assfart desides to do figure 8s and creating waves , within meters of me. no one else was around. But the guy at the ramp was glad to take my money. Anyhow, its time to turn the table around and deliver a knuckle sandwich to two locals. Shoot example #3 my buddies canoe was leaking and we used someones dock so we can bail it out and dry up. Guess what? That assfart was going to call the cops!!!! That was 15 yrs ago!!!!! ALL IN ALL,THEY WANT US TO HELP THEM CLEAN UP THE LAKE? WITH THEIR FUNDRAISER CONCERTS!!!!!!!! I WILL FLIP THEM TWO BIRDS ON THAT WITH THE WAY THEY HAVE TREATED US GOOD GENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ISNT THERE CROWN LAND ON THE SW CORNER? I POSTED THIS APROX A YEAR AGO!!!!!!!!!! LETS DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!

I havent read through this thread thoroughly, but I chuckled lol. Anyone wishing to buy a ring with 3 diamonds on it, yes THREE 3333, pm me! An engagement ring, and I am NOT KIDDING AROUND!!!!!! Or it will be the clearest and most shiniest thing that a fish has ever seen without feeling a tug, trust me on that!!!!! Yes I am to do that very soon!!!!! Unless someone needs something nice for their better half.

Well, I have sort of made my mind up, It will be an lcd for sure. Only reason being is it will have a dual purpose, both on and off the ice. I figured it would be best to upgrade my fish finder, from an HB 535 portable to a ?. I like the lawrence units but Ive always had an HB from the start and I am used to them. The units price range that I amwilling to spend on this upgrade is aprox 1000$ max. I figured if i am spending 700 or so on a unit that I will only use for hard water, then why not go with a unit I can use all year round

I came across a southern term for a rock bass just this week, "a goggle eye"

Thanks for your input guys:thumbsup_anim: Ido have an hb 535 portablethat I use in my boat and bring along while icefishing, accompanied with an aquaview. Both of them I do like but I see a need to reduce the carrying weight. That is why i am in the market for a flasher. Thanks again

I'm really sorry to hear about peanut, Bruce . Some pet owners should keep Close watch of their pets, and I'm sure that you know exactly what to do regarding the other pet, and it's owner.

ive out fished good gents while using my aqua view and them using a vex , only reason being i can actually see what the fish were doing with my bait. Now I can go done to 100 fow water but i usually get tangled up with the cord, fish on or not. Dont get me wrong i love the view by all means, i just need someting easier to deal with.
