I woke up a 6 am,checking pms and thinking on where to go.Yesterdays perch were small and far between.Should I go north, south east or west this am.I considered a long drive and said the heck with it.Put the canoe on the roof and hit a close by place to fish. Going threw my lures I noticed a harness, I forgot I had! HEHE three other ones were sent off on the lonely lure venture!!!!!With fisherpete and spincast! So I rigged it up on a three way swivel bouncing off bottom, minnows attached.I felt a bump and wham gottem, then lost(Im sure it was a walter).Oh well!!Next time! I proceeded to the other point and again the line triggered. A huge bucket mouth!!!!!5lbs plus!!!!!But stupid me I had my rod tip up and he gave the fin while tailwalking See ya sucker . Anyway, I continued on across the lake,marked a few and wham! AGAIN!A huge smallie! On one of the lonely lures,Gotta love it!MPB for this seasons smallie! A decision that paid off indeed! Pics on its way soon,on my thread of the lonely lures! I did feel obligated to use the spiner,since I started the thread on the adventures of the lonely lures! Thanks for the laugh,Kinda reminds of john candy in one of his movies with the fishing net.I did have a hoot with a bud once,night fishing for bass in algonquin.He screamed like a school girl in the canoe.TOO FRIGGEN FUNNY!

I worked on a few oil and gas tankers myself,monitoring pump flow rates and keeping logs. As for fishing,had a lot of time to do so,on board or on the peir.

Ive been going to an area that hold some big bass as well as some small pike.On friday I missed a few nice largies and a big ass pike.Well today I hit the area again,obviously for certain reasons.Well, that never came about! But I did luck into this little guy.A warrior amongst his peirs!With the same bait! Ive been sticking with one type of bait,and truely indeed the bite has been harder to acheive indeed!As one ofner mentioned previously! Ive tried rattlin spots,texas rigs,gulp alives as well.Only one bait and color produces fish so far!For the hungry bigger fish! Chartruese and white willow blade spinner bait!Brown and green is a hit or miss! Anyway,this is what I got for my hundreds of casts!It was a joy to release him for another fight one day!The scenery was awesome as well!

At times I dont mind following a few classic cars and the elders driving them!sat or sun on the lakeshores.Other than that,It drive me nuts!40 kms in an eighty zone on saturday in caledonia,the old guy slowed down 1/4 mile before the lights. Im sure ill be there too one day,over cautious! Probably senile Too!

You can temporarily use a tube of "THE RIGHT STUFF".If you have to use the engine!Or to keep moisture from getting in(wear gloves while using it).Other than that,replace the gasket.I keep a tube in the boat,just in case!

In the hammer,walmart,a local bait shop,ctc(sometimes).usually 3 for 10 bucks.P/u some rattlin spots today,slim pickins now!

Why do I see them on sale 3 for ten all the time.Some good selections as well!Does it have anything to do with some one going to st croix as a sponsor? Something ive noticed for a while.Just asking!

Saw blade backwards and and a quality blade makes a difference.Learned my lesson once, using someone elses cheapo at the shop.Cutting 3/8 alum flat bar.Ouch!!!!!
