  1. I had bunch old pots kicking around from my old college kits from couple of years ago. I just wanted to know the size so i can see if i have one kicking around.
  2. Whats the range on that POT?? If thats the only thing thats broken, its an easy and cheap fix.
  3. I know lot of guys here shop at Cabelas, there might be a good deal for everyone in there. Just a heads up guys.
  4. I live in Kitchener myself and fish Bronte in the fall only. I`ve seen people catch bass and carp, i am prety sure there are some trout in there as well. How good is spring fishing down that way?? What can u expect to catch?
  5. Great pics, that fish looks like a bass.
  6. Thats a great tip Daplumma, maybe thats why i kept on missing all the fish. I was using an octopus hook, size 2 or 4
  7. I saw two younger guys come in further down and one cought either carp or a sucker on like a very first cast lol. Did you guys not have your shirts on?? If you want to fish there you have to cast way out there to get into some cats. I had a hard time casting into some holes even from where i was standing
  8. Its sucker cut up in chunks Yes you can get it in his store, zip lock bag costs about 5 bucks. I was there yesterday and my friend caught one, i missed couple of really good hits. Good luck to you!
  9. I am prety sure you can get them on ebay or maybe even bass pro shop or cabelas. Search around if you`d really like one here is a link to the video site http://www.naturalmotionlures.com/
  10. There was a video posted of a bait looking like a snake not while ago. IT looked great for musky and bigger critters lol. Not sure if that was the original snake bait. People on a promotional video were catching big bass.
  11. I dont understand why that heavy of a line is needed for pike fishing. Musky i get it, but pike arent as strong.
  12. I worked my magic on my gf and i got some free time tomorrow. I`ll be leaving Kitchener around 7am with a friend, if anyone else wants to join pm me or let me know, i do have a car and i can seat 2 more guys. I do have to leave Dunnville around 2 pm tho. Fishmaster`s new adress is 312 Main st, it doesnt say whether its east or west but the street cant be that big and we`ll find it. Maybe i`ll even meet a great Fishmaster tomorrow if he is in the store and hopefully point me in the right direction, last time i caught a big cat was in Winnipeg and that was a while ago.
  13. I havent heard of Salmon comming up to rivers in the spring. I know trout comes to spawn in the spring and salmon in the fall.
  14. Hey guys. I am reading all these reports about cats being caught at Dunnville, i am just wondering how long do they stay there around the dam. I really want to go but i dont think i can go this weekend and the next weekend i am taking my gf back to ottawa for the summer. I went there once last year and didnt catch anything, i was fishing right below the dam and the current was just too strong and my line went to a different direction every time, really strange. Any info is really appriciated ty for your time folks
  15. If you are talking about float fishing with a minnow for a pike this is what you need: Float obviously, live bait hook for your minnows, some weight, you also need a pike leader and a swivel so your line doesnt get all twisted. I am not sure if you know how to set it up but here it is anyways. Float goes on top, put some weight on the line couple of feet underneath the float, depends how deep u r fishing. I usually put a swivel right underneath the weight and then on the other side of the swivel you have a pike leader. Get a live bait hook or a bigger size hook, because pike like swallowing their bait. Now when your float goes down when u get a bite, give it 5-10 seconds to take the bait in, dont pull right away. Hope that helps Good luck!
  16. Thanks for the tip. Just went out and bought it, it was marked 79.99 on the shelf. Had to wait for 15 minutes for somebody to come and open the cover, and scan it to make sure it was still on sale. Nice little reel, 10BB and 5.1:1, comes with two spools, very light.
  17. I think the pier is open all year around.
  18. Nice looking fish! Cant wait to hit waters to find some early spring carp.
  19. Hey Daniel How early do you guys start fishing for carp in the spring? Never had much luck spring fishing for carp, always catch my share well in the summer.
  20. you will need a fairly heavy sinker and a big stinky bait. Chicken liver works, shrimp works as well, handfull of worms on a hook works as well. Just chase them at the bottom and they should be running now. Good luck!
  21. Those are some ugly fish. They are everywhere lol Nice looking fish CLiff
  22. Thank you guys for your replies, its appricated. Thats an interesting read about Ian collins and gives u some pointers, as well as some good pointers in here as well. Now all i need is for season opener to come so i can get my waders wet.
  23. Hey Guys and ladies. I would like to try fly fishing at grand and i am just wondering what fly size would i be better off trying to catch some browns. I have a choice of sizes: small size is between 16 and 22 or medium size is between 8 and 16. Any info would be appriciated thank you in advance. I am going to be fishing that stretch from Bellwood down to Elora if wondering
  24. Sinker + hook + worms or minnows should do the trick.
  25. There are some unbelivable deals there! Yesterday i phoned canadian tire and asked for a quote for drill/slot rotors for an impala and the price i got was 105 $ a piece for front tires and 65 $ a piece for the rear ones. Went on ebay, found 4 of the same rotors with high performace brake pads for 160$ plus 66$ for shipping. You can also get 70 spoons and crank baits, random sizes for 69 dollars i think. 250 flies for about 40 dollars, just crazy stuff. I think if you go through pay pal your credit card number is secure and insured by pay pal. For those who dont have a credit card, cant you just send them a pre paid check or money orders or some other type of payments?
