To get those carp, try using some corn and a sinker and just cast close to the fish and hope it bites. I catch them in a water like that all the time using corn. Good luck

pull the battery out and take to canadian tire and they`ll test it for you for free. ITs easier then pulling your alternator out, they would test it out for free overthere too.

The reel is pretty good. I like it cuz the drag is at the bottom part of it, its easier to adjust it when u have a big fish peeling your line out. Fish were caught at St Marys again. Fairly close to London, just south of Stratford.

Gone out carp fishing yesterday, had some time, gf was working. After about 2 hours of fishing, she calls me and tells me she has a migraine and that i have to go and get her from work. I did manage to hook into some fish, went 3/5. Ended up catching a nice size smallmouth on corn and lost couple suckers using worms. I think they were suckers, there were bunches of them and were all shinning silver. Here are pics of the fish that i caught

I drive by that lake every time I go to Ottawa and always wondered how the fishing was. I`ve seen some boats in there but never actually stopped and fished. What kind of fish did you guys catch there??

Naww nowhere near Sarnia haha I`ve seen those crazy fish jump around on some Youtube videos. Also i saw rednecks catching them with bows and arrows. I wonder how many get injured every year, shoothing like that.

I caught some nice cats using shrimp and liver fishing red river in winnipeg. Problem with chicken liver is that small fish will take it at will and you might not be able to get rid of them and have it sit there until the big fish comes by. Good luck regardless

One fish came up and just chilled maybe 3 feet away from me and i swear to god it was looking at me. Then it found my corn and just nudged it and swam away. It teased me LOL I wanted to go back there today but made a mistake and ended up going to Conestogo Lake. I didn`t realize that everything around that lake is a private property and had to settle for fishing bellow the dam. Didnt catch anything tho

Gone fishing with a friend of mine and hooked into some fish. Plan was to go after smallmouths but after i saw these guys swim around i couldnt really resist. The thrill was catching them in the pools where they were just relaxing and looking for something to eat. Ended up going 4/6 with one breaking my 6 pound line off. All of them were caught on corn. This may sound like a stupid question but are there any carp left in those lakes anymore?? Have they all died or only specific size or weight did.

Grand river is full of them Just find some rocks and flip them over and there should be some swimming around. They are not that hard to catch.

I finally bought a cam and now i can take pics and post them on here. I had to download a program to re-size all of my pics and now i am all set to go. Went to Elora the other day to try for some trout, usually i catch fish but the water was really really shallow and the fish were spooked really easy. I cought 2 of them and lost 2 more. BOth fish were caught on a silver mepps size 0. Its my frist time posting pics and i hope they come out alright.

I ran into a same problem this last weekend. Went to the nearby lake and there were tons of carp just sunbathing around. So what i decided to do was put some corn on a hook and get a float and just cast it between them. Very first cast, i have a fish on and i lose it. I am a fairly superstitious guy and whenever i get a fish on on the first cast and i lose it, i never seem to catch anything else. But anyways i kept on casting, couple of times they hit a float but they wouldnt touch my bait. Maybe you`ll have better luck.

I`ve seen couple of posts of carp being cought around Lake O and Grand River. I`ve had most success fishing for carp late in the summer, starting mid august. Good luck if you end up going out
