I am thinking of heading back there tomorrow to see if there are still any fish swimming around. It was in Elmira, fairly close to Kitchener There is a dam nearby but i doubt its called the clairville dam.

Hey guys i havent posted anything smart with pics in a while so here is a little something. 2 weeks ago decided to hit the nearby lake for some baby carp. I knew it was shallow but i didnt realize it was this shallow. Water is usually all the way up to the trees on the other side of the lake. Made some bait, something i picked up from an old fisherman. Guy kept on bragging about it so i had to try it out in couple of hours ended up going 6/8, fiesty little buggers: They just kept on hitting one after another one after another one ended up going 6/8 They were not huge but a lot of fun to catch. This is my first time posting pictures using photobucket so i am sorry if i mess up on something. Spacial thanks to Sinker who showed me how to do it Thanks man!

how do you guys post pictures like that so it looks like a story?? You have a pic and you can write something underneath and so on. I know a way where you attach files and you can only upload 250k worth of files. on most of my reports i had to choose 2 or 3 nice pictures and post them and leave the rest behind lol. any help would be appriciated thank you

I was wondering the same thing. Never quite could understand why people blur the backgrounds when posting a pic. Personally i never would "steal" spots by looking at pics here, part of fishing is actually finding the fish. COngrats on nice fish tho

I bought one of those rods, still going strong and its been used a lot this summer.

All depends where you live. If you live in Kitchener, there is a place on old King st,close to grand river hospital.

THe only reason why i am going on monday is to miss the crowds or most of it. I hate to see snaggers on the rivers and since i cant do much about it I`d rather not see it. I was looking at the weather network the other day and it was supposed to rain all weekend but thats changed now to just scattered showers and will probably change again. I know where the park is I`ve been there once, really easy to miss. I was wondering if it would be open and being north of Rebecca bridge i am guessing it is open. Thank you for the replies

I know this question has probably been beaten to death here but i just want to make sure that i am fishing in the area thats still open. Bronte Creek regulations state that area between Dundas st (Hwy 5) to unopened road allowance at Rebecca st, wherever that is, is open until Dec 31. Now i know there is an entrance to Petro park off the Bronte rd, just not sure if that area is still open or not. I don't know whether the entrance is before of after Rebecca st going towards marina. I am thinking of going Monday morning, calling in sick that day. Any suggestions are welcome Thank you again guys Marko Just read it over and not sure how much sense it makes since i almost confused myself and i wrote it myself lol

Its going to be really shallow. If you plan on throwing your float in there you probably should go with a lighter fishing line, 6-8lb range. You are going to have to find some deeper holes and you can try floating some roe in there. Good luck Thats all i really know

I cant believe fishing is that slow up that way. I was going to go next weekend but looks like its not happening. I remember there used to be so much fish up there, you could cross the river walking on salmon. Thats come to an end.

nice fish!! Tell your son to keep his head high, many more will come!

Happy b-day man. Hope you have a good one. Best of luck in future life and future fishing trips!!

if pictures of dead moose or a dead deer can be posted i don`t see the problem with this. It kinda has to go both ways.
-
Good luck tonight! You might wanna bait the area where you want to fish with corn or bread. When fishing for carp it helps. They are feisty and fight really hard.
-
Winds are supposed to settle down tonight. I was hoping there wouldnt be that many people since the weather isn`t great and its really really windy. I am counting on rain to make fish more active. WE`ll see.
-
Anybody heading out to Bronte tonight? I am hoping after the rain the fish should start being active and hopefully bite. Good luck to all of you guys that are out there fishing!!
-
Its supposed to rain today and tonight a little bit. That should help the fishing all over GTA.

LOL at least you caught something. too bad you didnt have one of those J-11`s on with two sets of treble hooks on, you`d hook him right in the mouth haha. I was hoping that the fishing wouldn`t be that tough and that there would be more fish swimming around. Plus i hoped for some rain and cooler weather so they start moving around again and maybe become more aggressive. We`ll find out tonight

Try fishing at night time. use glow in the dark cleos and u might have some success. I was there last week one day, and saw 3-4 fish caught within half an hour, and then afterwards it just died down. Good luck. I am heading to bronte myself friday night and couple of other friends. Hopefully we`ll hook into some fish

Straight up tequila shots. In the morning you`ll feel like a million bucks!
