  1. Awesome report. Fishing in the middle of nowhere without a soul for miles must be so peaceful and tranquil. I cant wait until I get a chance to do that.
  2. Ive been by Osprey marsh a few times but never fished it. Apparently there are panfish in there. The marsh has a lot of history to it if you read up on it. I use to fish lake Aquataine all the time as a kid growing up. We used to catch tons of fish out of there. LM bass, sunfish and catfish. Ive never heard of any Crappie being in there. That lake has really gone down hill over the years. It has gotten really polluted. It has been stocked with Rainbows in years past but in my opinion there is know way that body of water can sustain a trout population.
  3. Congrats on the PB. Very healthy looking fish.
  4. Great report. I have never been to AP. I was planning on going this spring but i didn't get the chance. Seeing this report and how beautiful those back lakes are makes me eager to go.
  5. I would probably use a smaller hook then the one in your picture. Tough to catch panfish on a hook that size.
  6. This is the stuff from the TV commercial.
  7. My calculations put you at about 152 pounds per square foot of your pool full with water with nobody in it based on your pool being round and 30 inches deep. Total weight of your pool is about 12250 pounds when it is full of water based on a cubic foot of water being 62.4 pounds.
  8. Now thats a good fishing partner to have!
  9. I've only fished it in the winter on the ice. There are a ton of hammer handles in there. Biggest pike that i pulled out of there was around 25 inches. I've heard a few stories of some 40 inchers being caught.
  10. I went up that way to Georgian bay yesterday and after the split there are sections of highway that is down to one lane due to construction. Just a heads up.
  11. Nice fish you got there. That pike looks like it has a blueish color to it. Maybe it is just the picture. I've seen blue Walleye but never blue Pike.
  12. With the nice weather this spring I managed to get out a few times to fish for Suckers and Carp at the local creek. Nothing that big but fun to catch regardless.
  13. I am not familiar with the water that you speak of but geneally speaking this time of year I usually target Pike in shallow bays where the water temperature is a little higher then other parts of the body of water.
  14. Awesome report! Those Brookies are some beauty looking fish.
  15. I also tried to book a cottage for a bachelor party for my brother about a month ago and found that private cottages were nearly impossible to book once the owner knew that it was for a bachelor party. To be honest I don't think that I would want to rent out my cottage (if I had one)to a bunch strangers for a bachelor party.
  16. I dont know much about Muskys Landing but I do fish that water quite regularly in the summer. There is good fishing in that water with multiple species to be had. I find that slow trolling the edge of the weeds will produce fish on most days.
  17. Wow, congrats on catching that beast. Nice to hear that it is still swimming as well.
  18. Oh. I was just going by the sign up page when you said that you needed 4 more people to sign up and I was the third person to do so. Oh well, always next year I guess.
  19. Just a heads up. Looking for one more person to sign up for the 2012 OFC Tourney in order to add another person to each team. Deadline is tomorrow.
  20. I puchased mine online at the end of December and still havent received it in the mail. Last year I did the same thing and didnt receive it until May. I do have the temperary license that I printed out but it sucks having to carry around a piece of paper everytime I go fishing.
  21. My mouth is watering. I have some Perch in the freezer that I think will try this recipe with.
