I passed my G test in Aurora less than 2 months ago 1st try, and my driving instructor wasn't a jackass. Nevertheless, go back there, take the test again, and show them what you can do! You will only become a better driver for it.

Whether there is or isn't another Carp die-off in Ontario, the Carp fishing here will always remain world-class, just scroll the first couple pages of reports on this forum and count the number of carp pictures! If a parasite or a disease has infected the Carps, well, watchagonnado! That's nature for ya, epidemics are nothing new! I doubt it was done deliberately by anyone, especially the MNR, who spend quite a bit of time and effort advertising and promoting Carp fishing in Ontario, so it would be a bit hypocritical of them to thin out the population while making all these promotional efforts.

Totally missed this report! It sure was a heckuva day. What was supposed to be a day with thunderstorms and rain turned out to be nothing but sunshine, which also meant that the muskie/walleye fishing shut right down. Saturday can't get here soon enough!

Doing the Chartered Accountant thing at York Univ. Not sure what I want to do in 10 years but I know I want a cottage and a boat, and retirement ASAP.

"Great Fishermen need Great Beer" is their slogan. Well seeing as I am not a great fisherman I'll stick to Lakeport?

Johnny I have an almost brand new Kirkland 12V battery for sale. I think it should work for a trolling motor. Call me if you haven't bought one yet.

Last saturday went over to Whitby Harbour on Saturday. T'was a bit fresh and quite windy. Between 3 people we only caught one fish all morning. There were fish jumping and splashing around all over the place but very few takers. Last night made last minute plans to go night fishing for carp out east. Stop #1: Rouge River Park 3AM - Gates Closed, Damn! Walked down, and saw more skunks and racoons down there than we wanted to deal with. Stop #2: Whitby - again. Killed 2-3 hours here, chummed plenty, stayed until sun rise. Again, no takers. Was getting frustrated at this point. Stop #3: Pickering - Frenchmans Bay. Went down to the bottom of Liverpool Rd and a couple of other water access points, killed about an hour fishing with again no takers. Stop #4: Rouge River Park. Lots of people fishing, not many fish caught, and again, skunked. It was about 11AM when we decided to call it a trip. Where will I get skunked next? Stay tuned for the report....

BJ Penn Vs. Sean Sherk - Can go either way. If Sherk is dominant than he will just control the fight and win a decision. Otherwise, Penn by Submission. Wanderlei Silva Vs. Keith Jardine - Silva is desperate and needs a win. He is going to catch Jardine with a good right hook and will send him home. Wilson Gouveia Vs. Goran Reljic - Gouveia Tito Ortiz Vs. Lyoto Machida - If Machida can avoid the takedowns he will win. Thiago Silva Vs. Antonio Mendes - Silva

We had similar results in Whitby Harbour this morning, 6 lines in the water, only 6 carp landed. I blame the high barometer and clear skies. Looks like you all had fun though!
-
Good luck to all.

That does look like fun! Just don't go snooping for treasures in the G. Ross Lord Park , eh ?

And what about if you are in a kayak/canoe/inflatable kayak ? Is a license required then?

He not only converted me but also made me spend an arm and a leg to get all the European carp gear !

I fished the islands yesterday , cold winds and sunshine all day made for tough conditions. Between me and a friend managed 3 pike on jerkbaits. All 3 were 25-30" . Fish are all over the place right now. I might head down tomorrow for another kick at the can .

Depending on time and date I am very in.

Toronto Islands are a great place to learn how to fish all kinds of structures, and there are all kinds of species that one can catch there.

Hey folks Decided to open my 2008 season on Pigeon lake tryin for Panfish and Carp . We were in bobcaygeon at a friend's cottage, and the water was frigid. The wind was blowin all the warm water to one side of the lake, and we were left with the colder water. Needless to say, I tried to feed the fish plenty of tasty chum and cooked up corn, but they were simply not there. Not even a sunfish today. Was still great to get out though, despite some brief rainy periods. In a couple of weeks when the weather warms up a bit more I'll be back out there. In the meantime it's all about sushi. Hope everyone's season is goin well.

Overall, I'd have to say UFC 83 was pretty disappointing compared to previous shows. I didn't get the flashy victory that I was so hoping for in the main event Travis Lutter ran out of gas Starnes ran out of courage Everything else was everything else

Serra vs. GSP is too close to call, because we don't know which GSP is gonna show up, the shaky/scared/nervous/distracted GSP, or the composed, confident, demolition-man GSP. If GSP is indeed a 'mental midget', he will lose by KO/TKO round 1 If GSP comes prepared, he will KO/TKO serra round 1 or 2 Franklin over Lutter by Decision Bisping over McCarthy by TKO Danzig over home-boy Bocek by TKO Quarry over Starnes by whatever he wants MacDonald by Decision

Neither of these guys is known for their endurance, so they will probably both get fatigued before the fight ends, which will make for a somewhat borefest. I expect Brock to catch Mir with a punch and take him down, where he will control the fight until he gets caught in a submission. I don't think he is as good at avoiding submissions as Mir is at applying them, then again Mir might be able to catch Brock with a sloppy punch or something.

haha what are the chances ! Looks like all the anglers in the world are on the OFC !
