  1. that's 100lb braid btw, you must catch wittle fish and yes, good workout. speaking of bringing knives to gunfights, precisely my thinking in this silly debate. sure, you *could* use a spinning reel for certain applications or vice versa - why the hell would you want to?
  2. ahh Ben.. the voice of reason
  3. no brokerage on USPS shipments. just duty and taxes if applicable. if they didn't mark it as a gift, you'll be paying on whatever they declared the value of the item on the customs form. you get dinged on brokerage with people like UPS.
  4. jitterbug for the win!! i've caught an amazing amount of fish on that lure.
  5. 16oz jig? hahahahah this place makes me laugh sometimes. holdfast, non-fishing seems more your forte.,...
  6. let me know a spinning reel that'll cast a 16oz lure. spinning reels have their places.. ie. jigging, ice fishn and casting light baits ie. weightless plastics for bass
  7. no shaving before a trip
  8. worst thread evar
  9. diamonds
  10. not sure what is the difficulty in understanding. fish doesn't leave the water & stays in the net, is unhooked with pliers or hook cutters (if needed) or if it's a dink, doesn't even come in the net and gets unbuttoned boatside. unhook pissed off muskie
  11. hearingfish i am surprised my eyes are even open i don't photo well drifter that's a hawg but i was on lake 'x' not 'gs' lake john you are correct sir. thought i'd lighten the mood.

  15. lol Roy. I prefer Manthers.
  16. we've had a cold spring, you should still be able to catch lakers up high. troll spoons and body baits (j-7, j-9, j-13 rapalas to name one type) slow on long lines. i don't fish the park but lakers are lakers.
  17. you're not kiddn rattletrap. that's one pimpn moe-beele. i'd be rolling in one of those fo sho'
  18. i think you'll find that braid is best for jerkbaits of all kinds. you get the best feel for what's happening down there and can snap the baits around if you are fishing in a place with toothy critters, especially when using small jerkbaits like the xrap/husky jerk as the fish tend to swallow them, use a fluoro (45lb+) leader. join the fluoro to braid using a uni-to-uni knot
  19. sudbury <> northern ontario fishnwire. i was thinking more along the lines of nw ontario, thunder bay, timmins etc. typically the only people who fish bass up there are from southern ontario or americans.
  20. nobody fishes bass in northern ontario. 90% of the population is close to the US border and have somehow been manipulated into thinking that bass is a prized fish. their popularity lies with the fact that they are an easy to catch oversized panfish easily accessible to many which paints a huge bullseye on them. they also mean big buck$ to the industry (tournaments, sponsors etc).. so 'we' need to protect this 're$ource'.
  21. that would leave a sour taste in my mouth too Roy. ..and who says you cant talk about your opinion.
  22. gbay is closed for muskie till last saturday in june. i'd rebook your holiday. we'll be out,.. but not on the kawarthas.
  23. suck or not, can't catch a fish from the couch.
