  1. Interesting. Okay let's say for the sake of argument you're storing two batteries, one inside, the other outside. Both aren't topped up. Will both survive?
  2. Just to clarify you're saying extreme cold won't hurt a battery when exposed to it for an extended period of time?
  3. Rarely do I find pike in very early season will hit large flashy baits. At least for me slow and subtle is the key. For many years my go to spring bait was an 8" black reaper rigged on a suitable jighead. Presently I'm really liking the new wave of oversized soft plastic swimbaits. Rigged properly you can work them dead slow even in shallows. They're just deadly.
  4. Pickeral River, you can launch right at hwy 69. Great fishing for everything including crappies. Fantastic scenery and unlimited water to explore and fish as well.
  5. There will be the odd straggler but the bulk are back in the lake.
  6. I'll eat my eat if those fish aren't legit. Truly big specimens, just awesome. Some people have a hard time with fish sizes. Case in point the 32" 20lb steelhead that was posted a while back.
  7. A couple of those shots are outstanding, well done.
  8. That's awesome. Gonna have to get my little guy over there at some point soon.
  9. Perseverence prevails. Glad to hear you got a few considering the setbacks.
  10. Hey hey hey! When have I ever photoshopped a background? Glad to see I have such influence though! Here's a tip. Next time extend your arms to the max, it makes the fish look grotesquely huge.
  11. So now you're trolling for carp sucking, bottom feeding Hab fans?
  12. Good for you Mike. That's what we call the Poor Man's Bonefish. That river is teeming with all manner of strange and bizarre coarse fish this time of year. Fish it enough and the novelty wears off pretty quickly. There's another species of carpsucker down there that's very common and grows ALOT bigger as well. They're disgusting! Yech!
  13. Thanks buddy! Let me get the divorce papers signed first and I'll be heading to Bunkviile.
  14. The only "seasons" on Billy's fish are salt and pepper.
  15. Sure why not? Get bow rod to send me one and I'll pimp it for them.
  16. For your first time oot 'n aboot you did good!
  17. Beautiful fish, great stuff!
  18. Nice pike! What'd you catch it on?
  19. You may be in the wrong line of work. Looks great!
  20. It is a huge weight of my shoulders bud, and yeah perfect timing. I'm pretty pumped too. Not sure about 5lbers...but you'll catch tons and tons of 18-22"ers.
