  1. Can't say for sure but the 5 gallon cans had a flammable sign on it and they were thinning it with varsol to get it through there sprayer but from the look of it in the water I'm pretty sure it was oil based .
  2. They didn't even know there was a stream flowing out of the lake I asked if they had a permit and the guys umed and ahed for a minute and then said yep we do I would think this would be considered "on water work" and would need MNR approval and a permit to use dangerous chemicals (varsol) around the water like that I will be keeping a close eye on it and see what the M.O.E has to say monday until then I hope this doesn't cause a fish kill off from the contaminants
  3. Like the title says a local non-profit service group was repainting the gazebo that they fundraised the $$$ to build which is a very nice addition to the pond/lake but they were painting with a sprayer on a fairly windy day and a lot of paint was going into the water which they were doing nothing to control untill they were confronted by myself and another angler then they tried to push all the floating paint and solvents over to the out flow(by tying a pontoon boat on shore and reving the outboard) of the pond which dumps into a small stream that empties into a fairly large Lake erie trib. Now I have already called the M.O.E hotline and reported it but I don't think anything was done should I persue this further I took lots of pics and some video .I guess I kinda feel bad because they do a lot of good projects but this was totally a self promoting and selfish (They had big signs saying they were the group painting it )all they cared about was making their gazebo look good again and they defended there actions when confronted and told me they were cleaning it up (by pushing it to the outflow ) the damage they did in one afternoon to the shoreline around the gazebo and where they tied up the pontoon boat is just brutal and is were most of the predators bass, pike and turtles hunt their prey I just can't wrap my head around how they thought what they were doing was OK anyways here's a couple pics of what I saw at my favorite little lake to fish . their precious gazebo kinda bad pic but you can see the paint floating around infront of the pontoon boat the slick of paint the outflow headed straight for lake Erie hard to see in the pic but the water had a light grey stain to it and the oil in water like shimmer on top from the paint
  4. First pic's a huge Erie hen from a few years ago ,second is a nice buck and was playin around with camera angles with the waterproof fuji.
  5. Hey why were you so far away when ya took the pic? I was just about to brake check the crazy guy tailgating me when I saw Dan hanging out the window waving it was a nice day out on the water just wish the bass weren't getting a beat down all morning before I got out I think there was a tourney going on .I like Frankies floatilla Idea the perch will be in the bay till ice up now that it's cooled down or we could head to bluffs for Pike and ski's in Dan's and my boat should be getting really good out there soon.
  6. I have the same reel 201E7 and it has a bit of play in the spool I will be sending it in in the off season for repair/warranty still works great just don't like the noise and vibration.

  15. Yeah a few spots on LPB that are usually all pads are open water this year and even a couple of smaller lakes that I fish have less weed growth than normal and the pads don't come out as far from shore this year. I hadn't really thought to much about it till I read your post, I have some weed puffs on longpoint marked from last year and I pull up to the waypoint and can't find them and they are big weed beds like 30-50' in diameter I have fished them for years without GPS just know the area there in it was prolly the weird spring we had

SBK I had a good day on the water we boated 14.34lbs of smalljaws we were not even close to a win first place was 27+lbs and a bunch of 20+lb bags weighed in but we did a bunch of culling had a fly over from some US military jets and stayed dry this year (we got swamped last year by a pleasure boater)I never take pics at tourneys unless we have a huge bag of fish.Today was exactly what I needed thanks for all the kind words and advice guys/gals it is very much appreciated.

  21. Thanks again you guys are great I forgot to mention I did report the pictures showing my grandma to FB with no responce (they prolly get millions a day so I kinda expected that) this is the 6th death in my family in the past 5 years and no one has ever taken pics of our ailing family members until now she has been at 5 of the funerals and never took any pics there is some bickering with my aunts and uncles and I think she's trying to fan the flames I am going to take your advice and take some deep breaths and not give her the satisfaction of a reaction I just found out my brother never seen my grandma in the hospital and is fuming about this to .Thanks for the kind words and being the voice of reason OFC this is why I LOVE this place
  22. Thanks guys/gals she was asked politely by a couple cousins before I posted this with no responce she was then asked not so politely to take them down and she has removed some but not all of them I think she's looking for attention .I just hope this is the end of it because I don't think I can handle anymore of her Bull I just lost my grandma on my Dads side and now my Moms Mother is in the hospital with untreatable cancer and won't be coming out I really don't think I will be able to keep my cool if she keeps it up .I need to go fishing sunday can't come soon enough.
  23. My Grandmother passed a few days ago and a family member(married into the family) took a bumch of pictures of her in her last days when she was very sick and decided she would post them on facebook .Am I wrong that this is totally wrong and should not be put on display like this my poor little sister called me balling because she hadn't seen my grandma sick and wanted to remember her the way she saw her last.Anyways guys/gals what do you think I have no problem with her taking the pics but I am furious that she put them on FB ?
