  1. Good tips I hope all the fish a thoners take advantage of the beach and cold water that has been donated.
  2. I give Ryan a heads up for Lew and he should be home tonight some time Thanks for the donation Lew thats awesome
  3. this is definately NOT the proper way to fix it but I was in a pinch and used hot glue and some clear nail polish to make it look finished and that was 3 years ago and it's still on there the nail polish was dollar store stuff to I would use speil's method first but if your stuck the hot glue will work did for me anyways
  4. So there in their mid thirties LOL if it wasn't for that 4 letter word work I would do the same thing .See ya on saturday
  5. I am going early and will take my boat over to the front docks there's a big area between the docks that is all sand & clay that we can beach a bunch of boats because there isn't enough room at the launch for us all to hang around and I think it would be a good spot to get a pic of this great bunch of people.
  6. That's to bad, I'm sure Bonin could launch your boat for ya though
  7. Skinny just go back in one of the shaded areas and go swimming waters several degrees cooler back there and the beach umbrella is already in my boat can't wait till saturday.
  8. Sweet they are great people there even the coordinators and big wigs are great people.
  9. yep right around 4lbs nice bucket
  10. I will have to put the spot lock to the test and hit the anchor button and go for a swim
  11. must be seperate incedents Lew one's Erie state side and ones Lake O .there's a 15' kill switch teather I know alot of the trollers use them out of Pt Burwell
  12. You just worry about getting Jen better we have tonnes of support this year and next years a long time from now ,This should be a great day for fishing on DC I can't wait to see some of the pigs that get caught someones going home with a new PB
  13. feeling bites is always necessary, if your fishing for perch you can go down to a 8-10lb braid and 4-6lb flouro and you will feel it whan a perch farts near your bait there is a reason for any set up and using just trilene mono exclusively will catch you fish but don't we all want to catch MORE fish Cudz thats exactly what I'm talking about I put enough for a rod lenth as a leader so I don't have to re tie the back to back uni all the time.
  14. Unfortunately leader are nessasary when drop shoting with braided line unless you want to spool straight floro which is more $$$ than braid and if you tie a good not its plenty strong enough to handle any bass if you feel you have to use trilene then have at it.it is good for top water and cranks because it stretches. BTW I fish erie a lot and is supper clear so floro gives me more confidence in my presentation which = more fish weather or not it actually help doesn't matter as long as they get to the boat.
  15. Why not order a spool of nanofil and let us know how it works .I use braid on all my rods and run a floro leader when needed check out the knot tying sites and practice a few braid is great and easy to use once ya get the hang of it. I used to use a improved clinch knot on braid but a polamar knot is really easy and strong.I will definately be trying this nanofil stuff though sound cool .
  16. I don't know about port maitland but they are on fire in pt burwell right now lots of guys doing really well but the eye's are way out there in like 65-68FOW some guys are getting them in closer but no numbers all the double digit catches I have heard are way out. Origanal raps on dipsies and spoons in ugly colors most body baits will work to you just need to get them down to the fish. Oh and the steelhead will hit all the baits ya throw for eye's to.
  17. I know nothing about fly fishing, but I do well in the Thames with gulp minnows so mabye try some minnow patterns and have some fun with some hard fighting river smallies till ya find some salmonoides which are around but I have yet to catch one only been a witness a few times lots of smallies though and they are a blast in the river .
  18. I would use sta-bil marine ethanol treatment (the blue/blackish stuff) not the red for storing it .Adds pennies to the tank and I can't see it hurting anything even if it's not really doing much it's better than having a dead engine while on the water.
