Well I can tell you having grown up on the creeks in oakvile and fishing and playing in them since I was 5 Salmon fishing was awesome, used to sit under the old arch bridge with my dad and get everything . The salmon fishing in the fall was fantastic dont know if anyone remembers the old flat fish they had 4 hooks on them 2 at the front and 2 at the back and it was like a spring steel wire seperating them . any way used to go up in the canoe with my Dad and Uncles and fish on the big turn in bronte it was pretty quiet back then as I got to my teenage years the amount of fishermen increased and with that came problems Garbage drunks vandles and alot of people that just didnt give a firetruck .the reason for making it a sanctuary wasnt so much the fishery but the 2 footed menace on the shore lines with a flagrant disregaurd for nature and property owners . The garbage was phenominal, peoples fences were ripped apart for fire wood and pretty much any tree within 25 feet of the shore was consumed I was sad when they closed it down because in fact it was part of my heritage but I also knew it had to happen to save the area. I really like the decision they have made to keep people of the shore and only make it a boat fishery. May be down the road they could put 50 numbered posts in and sell tags for 1 week of fishing per tag and run it for 6 weeks you fish for a week you get what you get and go home with a little bit of policing I think it would work great Anyway theres my rant and I was there through the whole thing. To be honest I dont watch fishing shows at least not since red fisher and if I was that means Im not out fishing and for me thats bad a suggestion: I cant think of any, people seem to like you just do what you do,. I hear you eat alot of subs though

well percher is bugging the crap outta me to go but seriouly I cant do the weekend best I can do is come up with pointed one night crash in the truck and fish the next day and leave .....so the million dollar question is which would be the best night to come up and the next morning I can practice chumming techniques. BM

Nice outting gentlemen Me and Pointed had similar good fortune as well Pike were all ultra aggressive most swollowed the lures couple of 40 inch+ in the mix all healthy and colorful. stopped counting

I have a CP180 best unit i have owned to date Sorry cant help with the fish finder run a seperate unit but you can get a black box sounder for the cp180 I also have a standard horizon fixed dsc radio run into the chart plotter on the boat and a HX850s dsc portable in case I go over the side Couldnt be happier Peter

You can get pretty much any fish at all in Ontario there most stuff in large size bring your weapons get in the car and cruise around all sorts of back bays and inlets everywhere dont forget your attached to the big lake spinners/baits bodie baits life jacket rapalas damn man even a worm on a hook just do it

Yeah you know what I gotta say zero on this one too. I pay enough damn taxes. I would like to see Bronte held as a sanctuary but up to hwy 5 Sorry tony i have seen the kaos that ensues when its wide open to"fishermen" BM

Not a chance in anyones lifetime on this board I grew up in the sunlight soap and javex era and have ingested enough of the former to make me extremily resilient to things ....seriously though no way whatsoever will I be jabbed with anything of the anti flu nature

There are also a few guys down by the harbour in Halifax closer to the container yard that offer ground fishing charters

Mackeral should be in the harbour now go to the back end by bedford basin there is a big chinese food resturant well used to be anyway big parking lot there have caught the odd striper there only other suggestion is to hit the road and head to the south shore lots of rivers lots of fish dont get caught without a fly rod in the rivers though. Bridgewater is a good spot for styripers and the Annapolis river in the Valley fish the power generator you can fish with a normal rod big wole makeral or eels work fantastic Cape Sable Island is good I can hook you up with a friend there if he isnt out fishing

To Steve-o and the guy holding the fish Fish Holder I know who you are and you know me and my family very well all I can say as a Bronte Boy I would of expected alot different from you what is up with that. I think you need to make nice and suck this crap up .Poor sport you should not be And I can tell you when I see you again I will let you know how I really feel Its a small world and I will likely see you at Franks or on the peir or who knows on the water even.
