  1. I'd go with an x-rap or similar suspending lures. Pausing for as much 30 seconds will often do the trick.
  2. Here's a link to the original article b the fisherman who caugt it - http://www.pacgb.co.uk/articles/blomedit.htm
  3. Awesome stuff man, looks like a FANTASTIC summer!

  8. My condolences Lew. Take care.
  9. 2003 Honda Civic and conoe over here.
  10. Medium gear should be perfect, but I prefer a heavier line just in case you come across a big one. Shrimp should be perfect, but a few silver spoons and Rapala X-raps will get you some of the larger predatory fish (if there are any around that is) Be sure to rinse your reel after use to make sure that saltwater doesn't cause too much damage!
  11. When I fished in Mexico I think we caught more birds then fish - great report Grant!
  12. Gotta throw a Mepps Black Fury or two (#3 and #5) in there for sure!
  13. What have you done to my rockbass!!?!
  14. I get most of my part from them too, but they stopped selling #8 spinner blades and other musky components a while back - I've been waiting for them to come back in stock for month, but I dont think they will carry them anymore. The only other source I've found for #8 french blades sells them by the thousand, which is way out of my price range at the moment
  15. nicely done, thats gonna be hard to top in 09!
  16. I have one like this (but not as good) They're small, light and can bend easily to balance on rocks and other odd objects.
  17. lol, awesome stuff Grant!
  18. That probably the biggest shore caught musky I've ever seen, nice! My biggest was 36 inches.
  19. You got the lures I use covered - but colourwise, I like black or black and orange.
  20. great advice so far and go easy with ankle weights or you might injure your knees.
  21. That was an epic fishing trip!
  22. Agree, public transport is awful - I'd rather walk 16k then take a bus! How bout a Toyota pickup?
