I think you guys are missing the point I for one did not say anything illegal was done, and it`s not a issue of it being a Musky I would find a Walleye,Bass etc. head just as offensive. I have cleaned numerous fish but I would not think to post pictures of piles of fish heads or entrails what would be the point of that? I enjoy looking at pictures of people`s catch but I would prefer to see a picture of the whole fish. Instead of me moving on I think some of you guys need to give your collective head`s a good hard shake!

I seem to recall the first time I launched my boat it was a bit of an adventure, I am sure glad you guys were not there to document my first launch.

If you are talking about the older PD`s I would agree. My new Power Drive is fine just give that lever a good hard push with your hand or foot and it should slide right out.

A Close Call and Scary Experience

I was out on Lake O once in a small boat 25 years ago ( I consider a Pro V to be a small boat when your on a lake that looks like an ocean) and almost made my wife a widow, several people lost their lives that day due to a freak storm that blew in the only thing that saved us was a skilled operator and a whole lot of luck. I have never been back on Lake O since and I doubt I ever will. Lesson learned don`t F with mother nature and always check the forecast. -
First let me say that if you like going 116 MPH on the water good for you I am just glad your not doing it on my lake endangering the lives of the other user`s of the lake, and secondly that thing is not a bass boat it`s a race boat, some marketing guy figured if he put a live well in he could sell a few to the the gear heads who like to fish. Who ever heard of a full size bass boat with a 83" beam.

Bang for your buck one word Shimano, I have several Bob Izumi signature and they are great I have several Compre and they are great and I recently purchased a Convergence and it`s a nice rod less than 50 bucks and a lifetime warranty to boot, with your 100 bucks you got the 2 rods you need.

From the MNR, re: Carp dieoff and VHS updates.
lookinforwalleye replied to Ron's topic in General Discussion
If it is/was Columnaris like they claim why did it not affect any other specie of fish in the lake and why did it only affect the larger of Carp. I don`t buy the explaination. -
I have a Alumacraft and love it.

Heading out to the Bog Sunday

What there are weeds in Scugog? Judging by the weights in the most recent Tourneys the Bass are lovin the weeds. Make sure you bring your heavy action rod and reel loaded with heavy line, some Jig and pig combo`s and some HEAVY weights to punch through the weeds cause that where the big ones are, a little medium action spinning with 8 Lb. test won`t cut it if your fishing right. And the water is down 1 1/2 -2 feet at the last tournament some of the pro`s were using push poles to get to spots and catching fish in 6" of water,my PB largie came from 6" of water. -
It`s not how big your worm is but how you wiggle it.

I have 4 weeks paid vacation and a very good salary and top notch benefits and I worked my way up to get them. We were all born with two feet and a heartbeat and an education system that allows people to prosper. I would agree however that this part time/temp agency thing is getting out of hand some companies are obviously taking advantage of the situation.

I always unplug my trolling when I am done for the day, I don`t know why anyone wouldn`t.

Who`s running tourneys on Scugog this weekend? there was one last Saturday and again on Wednesday,I thought and hoping the Scugog tourney`s were done for the year. I was kinda hoping to get out this weekend to try a couple of spots a 100 bass boats flying around the lake might mess that up.

My father in law had one of those old Mark 75`s from the 50`s and as I remember it ran good when we could get it to start, this engine seemed to have mind of it`s own when it came to starting and if memory serves it had no neutral gear so it was just start and go and another thing I remember is this engine was an incredible gas guzzler at todays gas prices that may have amounted to financial suicide. I don`t miss that motor at all!

Those snakeoil audio sales guys love you guys that spend 5 a ft. for speaker wire that is without a doubt the biggest waste of money when it comes to audio all you need is some good ole 16 ga. copper wire that HD sells in bulk for 35 cents a foot.

I have 7.1 surround system that I upgraded from a 5.1 system and to be honest I really can`t say that 7.1 is any better than the old 5.1 sure you get some filler sound in the 2 extra rear speakers but think it takes away from where your focus should be and that is on your screen and the 3 front speakers. For most applications 5.1 is the best set up. Another thing you should keep in mind is you should not get caught up in what is better a 500 dollar Techniques reciever or a 500 Harmon Kardon because frankly a 500 dollar reciever and 400 or 500 dollar speakers are low end equipment just buy what sounds best to you. When I upgraded my system last year I thought I just had to have new front speakers to go with my fancy new TV and reciever so I bought a new pair of NHT speakers paid 2 thousand for the pair and low and behold when I hooked them up they didn`t sound any better than the 300 dollar Paradigm that they replaced now I am talking for movie viewing here the NHT`s are wonderful for pure music but for movies they don`t sound any better than all the crap you can by at Future Shop for a couple hundred bucks as a matter of fact I replaced my NHT`s for a pair of 250 dollar Athena speakers for my movie viewing and they are wonderful. If your Techniques reciever does not clip and your sub does not give out when you listen to say U571 very loud I would just leave them for the time being and look into upgrading your centre channel and then your sub most people overlook the need for a quality centre but in my opinion in the average home system the centre channel and the sub are the 2 most important speakers in the system if you ever get the chance to experience a system with a quality centre channel and sub you will see what I mean, obviously if you do upgrade your centre and sub then your Technique reciever will have to go as well.
