  1. Yes John Orangeville is priced around 10-15 percent or so higher than Shelburne, I won`t be compromising and buying a dump I may have to spend a little more but the only problem with that is it usually means a bigger house. Our current house is just shy of 2000 sq.ft and we find it way too big for the two of us. Another option we looked at is an apartment I haven`t lived in a apartment in a long time but there is a nice 50 plus type building in Orangeville that has some appeal and it might make sense to take some equity and throw it into the RRSP and get a nice cheque from the Gov. The search continues.
  2. Spoken like single or divorced guy!!!LOL
  3. Well it looks like we may be on the move again, the wife misses Orangeville and she wants to move back. I can understand this as all her social life and friends are in Orangeville and judging by the Petro Canada bill it will be cheaper to move back. Now the rant, our agent whom I have know for many years has had us out a few times looking at what is available and I must say the majority of homes I have seen are dumps. I should mention that we are looking to downsize and to me that means a smaller house not a lesser house, but it seems that the smaller they get the dumpier they get. We have seen maybe 20 or so homes and I think maybe 1 or 2 would be what I would call move in condition and several that require major updating think "That 70's Show" and yet these people are asking top dollar. Now the remaining handful of homes my agent has shown can only be described as pig sty's just absolutely filthy these people know they have showings you`d think they would tidy up a bit maybe spray a little Fabreze to dampen the disgusting pet orders a bit, we were in one last night and my feet were sticking to the floor for crying out loud and again these slob's are asking top dollar. Now my agent tells me I may have to lower my standards a bit because as he says my house is way cleaner than normal which judging by what I have seen is accurate and he says it`s only dirt it can be cleaned up!! I can`t believe that a clean house is a rare thing and by clean I mean you can eat off the floor clean.
  4. I would say yes, I have never caught a pike at night. Many years ago when we used to fish the Jocko Point area of Nippising you could catch pike almost every cast but it seemed as soon as the sun went below the horizon they just stopped biting.
  5. Roy who? Have a good one young fella and many many more!!
  6. Agreed but just in case I say we have the GIANT HOGWEED attack the Asian carp should be a good fight!!
  7. You serious?? I thought it was pretty funny but i`ll tell ya it would be way funny if Dave put a big decal of that on the side of his boat.
  8. Congrats on the new addition to the fam!!
  9. Thanks for sharing the real story JP and I like the rest of the OFC members are glad you survived the dunking and will fish another day.
  10. Hopefully JP and his partner are okay!

  16. I would take a look at the Ford Escape V6,I currently tow with a 2007 Durango with a 4.7L V8 and since I have had the Stratos 175XT it is clear that I don`t need this size truck the Escape may be a nice option.
  17. LoL so true but I just bought some marine Stabil just in case!!!
  18. I will be on holidays next week and plan on spending a lot of time pounding the weeds on Dalrymple, I like to pick up a new plastic bait to try every year (probably why my plastics bag weighs about 30 pounds)this year I am trying a Strike King Rage Tail Eeliminator!! Watch out you Bass!!
  19. Felt here in Shelburne as well!!
  20. to each his own but I can not understand the facination with tournament fishing, I find getting out for a couple of hours in the morning or evening very relaxing and enjoyable.I would think that being under the gun to catch a fish would be just the opposite.
  21. I don`t know anything about this particular lake but if it is a public lake I would call the cops on the.
  22. Be nice if they provided a non leaking container for the product in the first place!
  23. Border patrol has been notified!!! Have a fun time you guys and gals!!!
  24. Ya taking stuff out would work but to be honest taking out 10 or so rods and two tackle boxes and a tackle bag every time is a pain in the beside most of the time I have the car and all that crap won`t fit in the Imprezza, besides the wife kinda frowns on the idea of having all that stuff in the trailer. I had Perko`s in the Alumacraft and they were pretty good, the ones in the Stratos are some generic POS that I can pry open with one finger.I thought about stubbing my foot on the hasp I am going to try and put it out of the way if I can. I always wear shoes when I am on the boat too many sharp pointy things that can stick you.
  25. You don`t have to read anything if you don`t want to just go to the boater exam at Bass Pro if it`s still there they basically give you the answers. I think they could care less if you know anything, IMHO they just want your money. Somebody is getting rich on this deal!!!
