As a 50 year Habs fan I know all about Pat Burns, great coach led the Habs to a 115 point season in 88/89 and unfortunately lost in the finals to Calgary.
RIP Pat Burns
I recently bought a house heated by electric base board heaters ya I know probably not a wise thing to do but the wife loved the house and I can`t remeber the last time I said no to the wife.
Based on past owners usage my equal billing is 200 a month, I don`t know what their habits were but I guess we`ll see in a couple of months if that 200 a month is realistic number for us.
We tend not to be wasteful and I have replaced all light bulbs with CFL`s and replaced the thermostats to allow programing and apparently the new thermostats are much more efficent.
We try and save with small things knowing they will add up like use the toaster oven instead of turning on the big oven and not leaving the TV and lights on when not in use.
The one advantage that I can see with the EBB is that I can shut everthing off in the house and only heat what we want, currently we only have two baseboard on in the house and that is in the living room and master bedroom, and I am thinking of shutting them off and using portable heaters.
Track pants and a fleece are normal attire in my place when it starts to get cold.
Wanli tire a.k.a South China tire company
I bought a set of Gislaved Nordfrost snows last year for my Subaru and they are great you`d really have to do something dumb to get in trouble with the combo I have.
I just bought a set of Goodyear ultra grip for my son`s vehicle and they were 89 bucks a piece installed and balanced and IMHO you can`t a better tire for the money.
I had Blizzaks on my Maxima a few years ago and I did not like them as much as the Ultra Grips but at 50% off I could like them.
Ah yes a couple of wins in Leaf land and all is well again!!
I expect we`ll see a pretty good game Saturday night they usually play each other pretty tight.
Some of your comments are Priceless Mr.Bass!
Speaking of Priceless did ya see the 41 save shutout performance by Mr.Price against the high flying Flyers!
Your obviously convinced that Kessel is a great player and Burke is convinced seeing he mortgaged the Leafs short term prospects but as you so eloquently stated talk is cheap!
The only problem with that is truly good free agents or top scoring free agents are becoming a rare commodity with team locking up their good players long term i.e Jeff Carter and David Backes recently.
Not much in the way of top quality free agents next year excluding Semin of course.
Kessel is a goal scorer and when he`s not scoring well he`s not doing much,Gretzky,Yzerman,Oates,Sakic and guy like that were great play makers Kessel`s stats of 80 or so points in 300 plus games is not a great play maker mumbers.
You know what in your opinion Versteeg is a great player thats your opinion and your entilted to it.
IMHO greatness is something you earn and frankly I have not seen anything in his play that convinces me of his greatness.
BTW for what it`s worth I did play but was more into coaching advanced level, coached many young players that went on to play various levels of Junior hockey and NCAA including a couple that were NHL drafted.
He`ll probably get a goal and an assist his first game and beat Vancouver and the Leaf faithful will pronounce him a great player and they`ll all be jumpin back on the bandwagon!
Thats enough talk about the Leafs and Senators, lets talk about the Habs big win over the big bad and SLOOOOOOOW Bruins.
Nothing better than beating the Bruins!!!
