  1. Once you get the 2 finger twirl down pat, this one has served me well for over 30 years tying up eye hooks for steelhead, strong and quick. Like it says if you tie flies and do a whip finish without one of those safety pin type whip finisher tools the mechanics are the same. http://www.steelheader.net/knots/whip_finish.htm
  2. Shouldn't be grass in a carnivore's scat, so I'll guess the only omnivore on your list, a bear. But then I've seen my dog's eat grass on occasion.
  3. Another from Jack de Keyser, definitely more of an Otis Rush flavour than a Led Zeppelin
  4. Got to see this guy 10 or so years ago at a pub , downtown Grimsby, don't think there was even a cover. Stayed till closing, the place wasn't even packed, one of the best nights of blues in my memory. Talked to him a bit , my age , he is British born and grew up with the same British blues I loved as a teen, Clapton, Mayall, Green etc.
  5. Unfortunately there are many different law enforcement agencies and their interpretation of what is law is almost as diverse as the opinions on this board. edit: even within the same agency there is some discrepancy in what is allowable
  6. Interesting pattern, how well do they float without hackle? I assume they are dry flies with the wings.
  7. It's hazardous waste if not used, proper disposal is probably more expensive. Basically they are giving it away and covering storage costs.
  8. The supply should have been able to keep up, they really don't use that much volume of water.Check the screen at the input , it may have got clogged if the tap has not been used all winter.
  9. gotta be over 50 to get that 😀
  10. It was a staple in our house 60 years ago, chilled and sliced with catsup and horseradish in a samich or diced and fried with diced boiled potatoes or cabbage as a main course. The stuff we got back then had the bull's head on it and was made in Argentina which at that age I thought was kinda exotic. If the strip that you wound on the key broke it was a P.I.A.
  11. I make them now in one of those InstaPot pressure cookers, no soaking overnight and I can have them done in a bit over 1 1/2 hours including prep time.
  12. I'll be 70 in a couple of weeks , diagnosed COPD about ten years ago but not having any issues now , going out to cut the lawn today , 50 by 175 lot. Wife although younger , has emphysema and shortness of breath. I call our chances of survival somewhere between slim and none. Pension keeps coming in so no need to go out except a weekly grocery shop at R.C.Superstore during seniors hour Tuesday morning, we are isolating till the coast is entirely clear regardless of the rest of the world.
  13. An old friend used to own and charter a 40 foot Post Sportfish in Port Credit, then he upgraded to a 42, I though "what only 2 feet " it was 2 foot wider too, big difference. His favourite saying " you don't own a real boat until you get to sleep in a real bed " he lived year round on them.
  14. You gotta know where to go to stay away from the zoos, every type of fishing has their zoo.
  15. Only a very few will be able to take advantage of the open seasons, primarily lakefront and river property owners. Just because the season is open doesn't mean you can access public property to fish, Sylvan Glen is still off limits on opener. 🤣
  16. OK if it was his boat, your boat , you're the captain.
  17. Gotta slice it chilled and you have to mix hot horseradish in with the katsup. 👍
  18. Last I talked with him he was living at Point Abino, right next to the lighthouse, nice spot until the water comes up.
  19. Had a British millwright were I worked, who would ever think to call a flashlight a torch or a wench a spanner ?
  20. Back in the day I remember seeing Choronzey running a 24 foot Mako , very similar, on the Erie and Ontario.
  21. how you going to get there with no non-essential driving ?
  22. Globalists need a global crisis that requires global government, not enough people or governments were buying into the global warming /climate change scam/crisis so unleash the virus. Perfectly clear to most of us. 🙄
  23. Ran an identical '82 centre console with a 90 Johnson for 20 years, actually if this is still available would make a great boat for someone fishing Great Lakes, the boat looks pristine for it's age and a newer motor 👍 http://www.centerpointeservice.com/boats-for-sale/1983-sylvan-18ft-center-console-pewaukee-wisconsin-5792742/?print=1&full=1
  24. a lot of air traffic still considering we are all under isolation. I use it with my radio hobby and I've learned the sound of the ORNGE helicopter , I live very near the lake and a flight path for heli's, I usually go here follow where it is headed , ambulance chasing from the comfort of my home 🤣 https://www.flightradar24.com/44.2,-79.93/6
