Camped both Grundy and Restoule as a tween 60 years ago, got my first Pickerel in Restoule and some at Grundy a year later. I remember a shoal was a hot spot at the west end of the Restoule off a bare rock face, at least a dozen boats anchored there for the evening bite. The drive into Restoule was a long tedious slow one off #11 back then

You have to remember this is 1960, pre anyone hearing about the Beatles or the Stones and these guys had been doing shows like this for a few years. Not only are they very technically proficient and tight but their showmanship is ten years ahead of anyone like Hendrix, the Who etc doing anything like this onstage, sure they influenced a lot of later acts so why have we not heard of them ?

In my 70 plus years I have seen a lot of originally fishing and hunting outfitters go lifestyle as you say. Abercrombie and Fitch, Eddie Bauer, L L Bean just recently i came across a Columbia Catalog I got from LG Custom Tackle back in the mid 80's, it was all fly fishing vests and their Quad parka, no lifestyle yuppie crap anywhere

No just the ones where the fish are weighed at a grandstand , often not even on the water, catch, weigh or measure, photo and release at point of capture, tournament anglers are a honest bunch 🤣

Often it could be a totally different environment than what the fish is acclimatized to, feeding patterns , water conditions. We had a bass tourney years ago out of Port Colborne where some boats ran to Long Point to fish, insane to release those fish at Port at the end of the tourney.

I hate it when people with livewells think it is OK to cull or release fish miles often from where they were originally caught
